I've found that if you don't have preconceived notions and expectations, there is sooooooo much less room for disappointment!!!!

Thanks eyes...I was just gonna say that I guess my expectations have been low or non-existent enough that it hasn't really been a problem. Pleasant surprises are soooooo much better than disappointments...

Maybe it's time just to give yourself permission to take the weekend off from "the Hunt" and go bowling instead? Read a good book, or go see "Curious George", or take care of a project.
Then come next week you can hit it again, fresh. Lose the pressure, rediscover yourself.

That's kinda what my horoscope says for the weekend.

I too have adopted the "low to no" expectations mindset and it DOES work pretty damn well!

Snow snow snow snow!!! that's what they say for my area...so I've rented some movies, done some grocery shopping, and I plan on a weekend under a warm blankie watching the tube....sigh.....alone but that's ok. I'm my own best friend and it's seriously not so bad. Hope for the best and expect the worst, isn't that what the saying is?

Disappointement is a result of overrestimation in something or someone. It's nothing less than a mistake and nothing more than a misjudgement on our part. No one escapes this type of situation, so truly.. learn and move on.
All the best,
