I haven't dated or bothered to meet anyone in years, is it really that necessary? I got a dog for company, quieter and cheaper than dating

dogs are great but people really need to be held and wanted by a f or m.human companionship is really necessary if you are living alone

mmmm.....thats a hard one......I guess it depends on how available they are to each other......some may have other commitments....like family or work.
I guess it also depends on how much they like each other...........if their is a mutual liking ....and you know...the chemistry thing is there.......then they would want to date every week.........on the other hand........if they didnt want to rush things and take things slow and easy.......then maybe once a fortnight.
With me it seemed to be every 6 weeks.......lol.....the relationship/dating thingy didnt last that long....lol. He had too many commitments with other people....lol
I personally like to see someone every weekend........even if its for a short time........BUTTT,,,,,,,I also like my own space......so if they were busy and didnt want to or werent able to.......then that would be ok by me also. I like to have a little breathing space.....LOL

Once every few years for me! LOL When I did have a b/f we went out once every week end. But I wish it had been different, there was no spontaneity at all. Part of why it didn't last.
I really think it depends on proximity between the two. If you live near, you can get together almost any time. Even sharing a meal at one's home is considered a date. But if you live a hundred miles apart or more, it may be once a month or even once every 3-4 months.
I'd like to have someone nearby that I could see whenever the mood strikes, instead of waiting for the usual "date" night.
