ok, i have one for you all.... how many of you are on this site to potentially meet the woman/man of your dreams? like the one you want to spend your life with?
are there any or is everyone looking for sex?
do any of you know anyone who has met the woman/man of your dreams online?

I know of several people who have found "the one " online,in fact one of the drs i work for did!
as for myself, i have been away from this site for quite awhile,found out the message boards were back and here i am!
I have made some very good friends from this site,both male and female. Seems love and THE ONE will come along when you least expect it,so i am not on a mission.
it will happen when it is supposed to happen.

While I personally am not looking for a LTR, I have a very good friend that met his wife on an adult dating site..they wer looking for a hook up and found more...but still it's amazing to me just how well suited they are...it really can work, but as in their case often when you aren't looking

Landing upon this or any other such site is truly an adventure, one never knows what the out come may be. If the she of the dreams as well as the fantasies happens along.... great and if not it's SOP and no lost of sleep. 
Of course, many have actually met in person per this site as well as other such sites. I certainly would recommend MD to any one. Discovering sex online? Does that really occur? 
Of your questions, the second of the three seems to be the most fun as well as the most exciting, not to mention adventurous. Which just might lead to the answer to your third question, one never knows.

I would be in the meet the woman of my dreams catagory,but its like anything in real life.Its a tossup as to whether it works or not,kind of like the lottery,if you dont play,you cannot win.

Anyone who enjoys sex,is looking for it along with everything else.Thats not the priority,its a part of life.

so i suppose this is just like life huh? a total toss up? i have actually never belonged to an internet dating site or anything like this... my roommate told me about it and how cool it was so i joined...
does that mean i am a follower or a sucker? or maybe i'll get really lucky.... who knows...

As to the question you asked...
Yes! My Mother is 76 yrs. old and met a man 73 yrs.old
online.
They met in Sept. 2005 and she moved to Illinois last month
to be with him.
Don't know if they'll get married anytime soon... But when
she returned home after spending Christmas with him...
She had a diamond on her finger... 
It's GREAT to see my Mother and him so happy!

I have had that same thing happen. Whew it hurt.
I'd love to find the woman of my dreams here.
Some folks I write and I fall for profle fraud. They say what they want and they never write back. I want to fall in love too even though I have no idea how to verbalize it. Its a feeling it transcends getting laid. Getting laid puts out the fire for awhile but makes me yearn for the woman I want to attract. Wherever she is......I'd love to find her  .

I'd agree on that to a point, but I also believe in fate to some degree. Some people only search within their city, state, etc. but there are forums, chat rooms, etc. so there's always a chance of stumbling on someone you are compatible with that doesn't live nearby. As for me personally, I'm not looking for THAT guy on here, if I make a good friend or two, I'll be very happy. The sex...well....most people don't need to go online for that.

You'll know it's the correct choice the next day.
If you feel good the next day, after the choice,
It's probably OK
If you feel like s***, it was probably the wrong choice.
I used to say, "if it feels good do it" but I've matured.
You never know till the next day.
Just 24 little hours.
Very simple guideline for choices.

as far as the sex why is it almost everyone i have met askes to cyber, or hook up and i know darn well what they want?
honestly i am not on here to meet the man of my dreams, but if it happened i defenitly would not complain!
how do you know if you do meet the man of your dreams? if it's all about choices how do you know when you do meet him? how do you know to talk to him, not just overlook him and keep on with your life, you know?
with my luck i have already met him and i was too busy or stuped to even look up at him!!
i am frustrated right now, i am sorry :(

and no i am not kissing guys ass by liking those kinds of things, that is who i am
and everything else you wrote... well, maybe i just need a good writing lesson, but i don't care what someone looks like as long as they are a good person, and well, i just don't know what else to say
you're right, this site is not the place to find love, i do like the bull thing though :)
i thought i was frustrated before, now i am frustrated and feel very upset from having my bio picked apart by someone who is out there doing the same as me... just trying to make friends.
