I'm curious...just how honest the young gals (say in their 20's and early 30's) will be concerning why they would consider dating a man old enough to be their "FATHER"
We know why the "Older Men" do it...but lets hear from the young gals.......Be honest here....just what is the attraction?
started to change some of the wording and decided not to

He is established, secure, confident in himself; knows the ropes (having braided one or few), doesn't sweat the small stuff.
At least that is how it was supposed to have been....

My sister is 24 hes boyfriend of 5 year is 47
they are very happy together
SO FAQ ALLL THIS AGE SH!T
Whats there not to understand? Im not interested why others see in others, Im interested in what I see in you, and what she sees in me.
That all that matters
AND THAT the HONEST truth
If ya hung up on something let it be me eyes, not my age.

EDITED... If ya hung up on something let it be me eyes, not my age.
I totally agree father and I think younger girls are attracted to older men for the same reason older men are attracted to younger women..Maturity..a feeling of security when they are with them.. Age shouldn`t matter...

because when she looked at him heart heart skipped a beat,
when she first touched him, there was a stir in her soul, when she first left him, he was in her thoughts.
What she saw was her answer, it just happend to be in a man much older then herself.

the funny thing here, my brothers which are younger then i but older then her have both BEEN married, to women arround their age. AND the only one that has lasted threw all the CRAP couples put up for themself to go threw THEY stand strong when Others have not? Could it be the combinations or expericence and youthful dreams? Could be.
If love had form and restriction, pour some in a glass, take a sip.

I think Father's answer is quite appropos.
Sometimes these things just happen. Heart calls to heart and each responds.
Nothing could be more simple. Nor more fine.

Sissy I really don’t think you really know why “US” older “men” do it. I don’t think you have a clue. You are typical of a few women who cannot figure us out so go for the stereotypical type of men. I consider myself and I bet majority of men here on this site as being an individual man and want to be judge on my own merits. Just like if I generalize on women by blaming them all for what a few individual women have done in my life. I guess it would have been easier to blame them all and believe that I know everything about women. But then it would have made me narrow-minded and bitter. Would it not?
So why would a “very few” younger woman would like to date us older men? Maybe because they can and it could be the reason scrurusniger said.

Father, sorry...yes you were on topic.....I had just read another forum thread posting....and a response from a young gal as to why she became involved with a much older, powerful man.it was quite enlightening from her view point...and was more interested in additional views from the younger gals input...as to why they would be interested in a much older man....we see lots of threads as to why the older man is interested....but very little input from the younger gals...as to why they are interested
Guess my thread heading was not clear....as to what the question was and who it was requesting input from.....sorry bout that.....but when I went back to change it....that option was not available...
I'm curious...just how honest the young gals (say in their 20's and early 30's) will be concerning why they would consider dating a man old enough to be their "FATHER
but i tried to do that in my first posting
..it was aimed at me And no Tink..its not aimed at you.......sorry...... I've moved on....can you???

Dwain.....most forum theads.....can not or are not directed to any one individual person ....male or female...so are directed to the gender..or both genders....since they are general questions.....for discussion purposes only.........we all have views.....ever changing views on some subjects as we understand them better......I fail to understand how you can make a statement...directed towards any one person or group of people........unless you know the person you address personally....... so are you not also sterotyping women by your statement.....also

When I was 24, I once dated a New York City
power lawyer that owned his own firm.
The attraction for a 24 year old trying to make it
in the big city...He was on the rebound from a
divorce, and wanted to find his "Youth" again,
thus behaving like my age group as a "Twenty-Something".
It started to get old when the New York cabby driver
taking me home asked if it was a "Hard working night".
He later said he took one look at my older boyfriend
than me and said I must have been a high priced
escort/hooker. We really laughed about that one.
Another time we were in Tiffany's on Fifth Avenue
and he was helping me choose my Xmas gift.
Still again everyone must of thought I was a kept woman
of sorts by the looks we got.
I grew tired of the whole deal, and really wanted a
man my own age. Didn't matter he had a law firm
in Rockefeller center, a swanky westside apartment and
country home in the Berkshires....The fun grew ice thin
and frankly, I dumped him.....besides the ass was
seeking other young things on the side too.
One was not enough...
I couldn't imagine dating a man far out of my age group
at this point in my life....I just can't relate to them and need a
man of substance.

What? I guess I was way out of line here. Sorry sissy I didn’t read between the lines. Obviously you are here to foster good will between the genders. And this non-bias question is to bring out the mystery of why younger woman date us older men whoops I mean date men the age of there fathers. Have fun! And thank for rewording your initial thread to appear non-gender specific. You’re the greatest!

Ram......actually I was always attracted to the younger....more open guys....the fun ones who still knew how to laugh....enjoy life......and the adventure.......
But to answer your question....I had a step father...who would have liked to offer me something, and it wasnt his "fatherly" protection......ack.......maybe that has something to do with....my jaded thoughts of "older men wanting younger women"
Also...over the years....I've been prevy...to over hearing many conversations concerning older guys...talking about their "conquest" with much younger women....even to the age of 14........sick perverts....is what came to my mind.....
And I have to ask.....these older guys....lusting after they much younger women.....how would you feel if some guy in his 50's was looking at your 18 year old daughter in that way....after all she is a legel fish now.....catch and toss...comes to mind...in the big fish pond of dating

Being the eldest in my family i view my little sister as such. MY BABY SISTER.
It was really hard for the first few years. But its their dedication to each that has open my heart and eyes to the age barrier and how foolish it really is. yes youre jaded, perhaps, yet not all relationships are like that step fathers and ourselfs.
Now these poor vitums that fall pray to the conquest of man, dareling thats pretty much across the board, not just the older guys. AND ITS THE SAME GAME the ladies are playing. Like ya said, this fishies are of age, Lifeis hard, they learn their leasons as we have ours.
Still I refuse to accept that age only play in relationship, is a bad thing.
Them sickk bastards going after not even legal yet, reminds me of the last two years and the 4! teachers females, in prison for sexing it up with their students.
The confusion of this thread was ment, more brainstorming thinking at its best.
