Posts: 132 Back in college, around 1970, I took a Family Social Science class called The Dynamics of Dating, Courtship, and Marriage.

It was based on a book from around 1950, that focused on going steady, social class issues, religious homogeneity, and a "by the book" progression from meeting to marriage and kids. And, yes, no sex before you marry.

At the time, I was a hippie boy renegade, and found the class rather laughable.

Times and social mores have changed, over the decades.

Did anyone else here have a learning experience such as that college class?
