for me - absolutely not. i'm perfectly capable of making for myself - nothing fancy, but i manage.
i would have to be really really comfortable with someone to be ok w/them cooking for me, otherwise (and maybe i'm weird for feeling like this) i'd feel "icky".
generally speaking, "cooking" has absolutely nothing to do with getting to my heart. if "she's" making some food - hopefully she'd make enough for both of us, and me the same for her - but outside of that, food is neither here nor there for me.

I don't know sir, cooking a meal for a man is a nice touch. I'm a pretty passable cook myself but I like the idea that woman made a speacial meal for me sometimes. I've had a couple of girlfriends who made dinner for me early in a relationship.

I don't care if a woman's a great cook or not. As long as she can do some basic stuff is enough. I would never fall in love over culinary skills alone.

Lol, okay, for you guys who would like to impress the women with something special, will give you the banana pudding recipte, it is so easy and the best banana pudding there is. There are just a couple of secrets in it.
The first is Jello French Vanilla Pudding, has to be the French Vanilla, no other will do, the instant.
You layer vanilla wafers in a bowl or pyrex dish alternate with layers of sliced banana, little circles guys, not long slices.
Prepare the pudding according to the box, and here is second secret, stir in an equal part of cool whip---stir it into the pudding. Pour it over the bananas and vanilla wafers, you can refrigerate for an hour or serve it right away.
EASY, HUH? It is amazing what the French Vanilla pudding and cool whip can do to plain ol banana pudding, seems to keep a little longer, too. Lol, try it, you will like it.
Nem, might take away the pie craving just a little bit.

Lol, guys, maybe should be a little more explicit for you. Use one of those pyrex or corning square dishes, baking dishes. Layer cookies and bananas almost to the top. When you pour pudding over take your spoon and go down to the bottom of the bowl with it in several places, lol, just stick it in, it will usually go through to all the layers anyway, but give it a little help. Now, I think any man on here could do this one, and it is sure to impress, you will like it for just yourself.

I think the conversation over the dinner table would prove to be more rewarding. But then again I dont think there is a magic bullet. There are many things that have to coincide in order to form a union of any kind. Male or female.

I agree with all of you, conversation is the most important thing, the person.
Men, if they can cook, are generally better cooks, lol, let's exclude my ex husband, he once made spaghetti with pork and beans in it, and to top it off, he burned the pasta. Then, I have this ex brother in law who put peanut butter on anything he fixed, even bologna sandwiches, and this son in law who comes up with the nastiest concoctions, so there are exceptions, lol, and you sure don't want to have those cook for you. Yucky Yucky stuff.
Then my step dad was a gormet cook, yummy, yummy food, I learned a lot from him, but he took some of his recipes with him when he died, such a loss, wish I could recover some of them. But I DO love a man who can really cook. Of course, if he can't, then I don't mind cooking either.

I've noticed when men cook, it usually involves a lot of chopping and dicing. Is that because they get to use knives?

I'm a Southern Jewish woman, so I was basically BRED to cook.
The ideal date for me is one where I cook an amazing meal for my guy, all his favorites, and then he rewards me afterwards with good sex....
Why men don't fall at my feet everywhere I go, I'll never understand.

mmmm, and nuzzle my neck. Lol, going to stop before it gets any more explicit, after all, this thread is in the dating and romance section. I am teasing, wouldn't get any more explicit anyway, but dinner might be late.
