Loreli.... Posting threads that are pretend is at least not lashing out at people and trying, or accomplishing, making them feel bad.
Loreli....I fail to comprehend your statement or the necessity for it.......
All of our minds work in different ways....from experience, we see and view.....life and situations different.......if trying to understand how others view things.....is not an honest learning attempt....then I just don't understand what forums are for....As we read others post.......is that not what the forums are for.....to stimulate our minds and make us wonder, think, share and question?
My question was.... don't think so...but would like others points of view.....to reflect on......care to share some rational views on the subject????
I've also had my feelings hurt, by what others have said or statements made....but I brush my self off....and move on....figure it must be bothering them, more than it is bothering me.... and I certainly dont ask others to protect me, knowing they only have my side of the situation....I'm mature enough to stand up for myself....

just a statement. Just an opinion.
I would rather see make believe than mean. Because I'm nice. And I care. I've known a few good people booted by somebody turning them in for defending friends. I would rather see pretend than tattling. No rules against that. No necessity standards have been pointed out for me. I believe I was on topic with the conversation.
Wasn't I.
Maybe I'm not now, but you asked. I'm just humbly answering.

I soooooooooo have to agree with you there..referencing the tattling.....but there is a big difference between defending and bullying...Also...being adults...we should all be able to defend ourselves...usually there are two sides to a story.....
They are our words...and if we type them....we should be prepared and able to stand up and defend...what we have typed....not rely on others to defend us.......wouldn't you agree?

I find it hard to believe you didn't know what she was talking about. The 'reality' is, this thread was created to single someone out.
These are your words:

When I see my friends constantly attacked and belittled, I don't have to wait for them to come and ask me for back-up. I come to their defense instinctively. They don't rely on me. They are capable of defending themselves. My compassion is what prompts me to come to their aid, whether they need me or not.
One can't post venom, and then turn around and be condescending, and 'fantasize' that no one has detected it. We aren't naive.

Sure, I agree. Any topic that has open ended possibilities is debateable[I], things should not get ugly by finger pointing and putdowns. Even subtle ones. But they DO. I don't call them and say, hey, go tell somebody off for me. And I doubt anyone else does that either. Some respond in defense of put down statements because they have opinions and they're nice people. At least, that's how I feel. I haven't been here long, and I spoke from my own experience[I] once, got jumped all over and some very nice people I had never met before spoke out in my defense. Why?
Because they can.
I didn't ask, but it made me feel good that some people have morals and a good heart! These are probably the ones that live, and love, take risks, and yes-fantasize.

I have fantasies...I fantasize that someday, some guy will come along and love me and take care of me, and I will love him and take care of him, and everything will be perfect for the rest of our lives together.
Is that irresponsible? No, because I will be contributing my part to make the fantasy a reality.
Do I confuse that fantasy with reality? No. It could happen, but it is not currently happening, and if I want it to happen, I realize I have to take the responsibility of doing all I can so that it will happen.
Fantasy or reality... which is best? I believe life is a combination of both.
