I let her change me and didn't put up a fight or leave. Amazing what thinking you are in love with someone will let you tolerate.

...This sounds like confession time and I missed the Holy water on the way in...
....Right after I became legally single (the decree), I dated an also recently single woman that had four very well mannered kids (I also had four). She was a good woman, a great Mom and worked very hard to keep a nice home; but I was not in love with her and let it go too far, before backing away. She was hurt emotionally and certainly did not need, nor deserve my nonsense to confuse her life further; already having a difficult life as a single parent.
....My biggest mistake, was not knowing myself, before influencing another's life and emotions. I know, not as exciting as many of the posts, but I strive to never, ever play with another's life from being ignorant of my own self, who I am and what I want and need.

Guys, from what I have run across and from what the women have been posting, the biggest mistakes you can make with a woman are: lying to her about ANYTHING, or just being afraid to make that first approach, then you never get to know her, anyway.
Mistakes of doing things and those regrets are bad, but at least you know you tried. The saddest regrets are the maybe what could have been ones, the if only I had...... ones.

It would have been moving across the country to be with her. However, while there I discovered my passion for snowboarding and I bought my dream car. Then I moved back. So it all worked out in the end!

Hmmmm...biggest mistake I made with a woman...probably would have been telling her that her husband was cheating on her, but I kept my mouth shut (our husbands were best friends and two of a kind...we're both happily divorced now).

Well it all sounds like you know what you did and most of you have found a way to remember not to repeat it........way to go!!!  Ive made mistakes also and I continually strive to correct them in regards to men. Most of the men I have dated since becoming single wanted sex........I told them I needed to get to know them more.......1 said later......3 after a month were like.....found someone else........and 1 so far after 6 weeks, we are still getting together about every other weekend at the local bar doing karaokee.......no i dont drink, and when he tried something, I looked at him and he said "Youre going to shoot me down" and I said yes, sorry, Im not ready.......he is like a wonderful friend.......so guys, dont be afraid to ask, all she can do is say not interested.........and also guys, dont be afraid or disgusted by the larger women, weve got everything you want and a little more    sorry about me running off in another direction lol. Not talkin dirty to them enough.......it has gotten me in big trouble with women in the past, and now Ive resolved to change it!!
