People always talk about “making memories” with our children and families. We create photos, albums, videos, scrapbooks and keep all kinds of things as reminders or memories of special times with loved ones and friends.I also like making scrapbooks, or memory pages, and have two special ones that are of my grand-kids that are filled with pictures, notes, verses, poems that I have written, cute and funny things to remember. I like to look up from my writing and take a memory walk as I read all those the treasures I have stored in those scrapbooks.
My greatest Memory?
The times I witnessed the Birth of all my children and the births of two of my grand-babies and the cutting of their cords..those times will be forever engraved in my memory.

How are you creating memories? Have you thought about this? What is your fondest Memory?

Tons of pictures. Santa Claus Christmas morning. Church as a whole family Christmas Eve. Every birthday something special is done. Family Easter egg hunt. Seeing my Grandson born was so awesome, it's a different feeling from the other side of the table! Gosh, there is so much Tink. Framing all of my children's achievement and sports awards. Up until three years ago, a family vacation each summer.

Memories....if I only could remember them.
Seriously,I can remember when I was 4 years old but I cannot recall everything, probaly only 20%, of my life between age 30 and 48.During those years I was married and became a father.
Some things come back to me when I see a picture but not all things.
This is a result of my head injury,so treasure those pictures and memories because you might not always have them.
To this day I occasionally run into people that know me but I have no idea who they are.

Unfortunately I have few memories that I ever dwell on.. most of my good memories are of my dad, and of course of my daughter's early years, but they were so shrouded in other things gong on that I tend not to think about them. I just try and make the most of what I have today and not dwell too much on the past.

Tons of pictures.

I can relate to that. Only not just of birthdays & holidays...I keep my camera on a shelf, ready at all times, and have been known (as recently as 2 nights ago) to grab it and take a photo or two of my son sleeping - just because he looks like such an angel....

And with digital photography being in vogue these days, it's even harder to keep up with all those photos. With my old 35mm, I used to take a lot of photos. With my digital camera....OMG....I'm on my second camera, and have taken about 5,000 photos in the past year and a half! I'm sure glad I don't have to pay for all that developing!

I had a house fire many years ago and lost most of my family pictures. After that, I would lay there with my children falling asleep and engrave the memory in my head so I would never lose it, and I never have...even their smell and the touch of their skin.

My greatest memories are of my kids. 2 specifically stick out in my mind, and they are very similar. The afternoon my daughter kicked the winning goal on a penalty kick in soccer that won the league championship and the first basket my son scored in a basketball game....the looks of pure joy on their faces are something I will never forget.

I keep a few pictures, but I mostly just keep my memories in my head. Like Exiled, music holds many memories for me too, as do certain locations.
I have a set of shells that I picked up on the beach in Maine a few years ago. The memories attached are bittersweet, but I wouldn't let them go for anything.
