Truth?...I'd much rather have the most poorly made whatever....than the biggest diamond.....anyday! If it comes from the heart......it is truly priceless!!!!!!!!! (whatever it may be)

Another nice picture of you Roanin! It sort of brought out the green in your eyes.

From the heart always works for me too

Always from the heart. Small personal things mean the world. I still have the clay earrings my oldest son made for me and the beanie babies my youngest son bought with his allowance.

Thanks Dwain.....you can see my eyes? Oh, Holding, I know exactly how you feel......I still have the really tacky "disco ball'" gold sequin earrings that my oldest gave me when she was just 9.......I have the gold "disco" sequin butterfly pattern shirt to match.....it's been in my closset for 13yrs. I even wore it for her....... once......LOL And I still save every weed that my son brings me....he thinks if it has a flower it's all good.....sad thing is ....almost everything he brings me....I'm allergic to.....so I kiss him on the cheek, thank him for his thoughtfulness and then I tell him I'm going to dry them so that I can keep them forever......I do dry them.....but then I make sure to pack the "sneezers" away.....far away

Nothing could ever match the projects my children made for me. I have most of them to this day. I still tell them to make my gifts, but they are too busy!

I love big beautiful jewelry, diamonds, precious gems...gold, gold, GOLD.

OK, I was just saying that because someone had too.

One of the greatest gifts, other than the ones I've gotten from the kids, was when my ex would check the oil and brakes on my car. It was the concern for my safety that really did it for me.

the only gift besides my child that i ever cry over, is photos albums and collages. Every christmas my sister gets the cam ready, just to take next years gift.

oh and if i ever get a teddy bear, i think that would make me cry too

Lol,, I have stuff that my oldest made me in school. Lets see, nope, not going to say how long ago that was.

I can remember wanting Pearls most of my agult life. Then one year I got a set from my ex. I cherished them, took care of them.

Then when my only grandson was born, I passed them on to the mother of my wonderful first grand child. It was time to give them to some one.

Then, I met my husband,,I have 3 sets of them.
These came from the heart too.

Gifts do not have to be expensive to be special and meaningful. I am sure that we have all experienced getting something expensive that meant nothing because it was bought as a last minute thought or as a feeling of duty. A gift can be either expensive or inexpensive but if it comes from the heart with forethought it is much more precious.

The simplest of things coming from the heart are the things I cherish the most. Each one has a memory attached that lasts much longer than some expensive item. It means the giver actually took the time to think about you and to give something that felt right to them...this is what makes life wonderful...the simple things.

It's kind of weird, but I really don't enjoy receiving gifts.
And the more they cost, the less I like receiving them.
Go figure....
Ah...but a handmade card from my little guy? I'm in heaven!
