I can lose weight anywhere but my butt. And the smaller I get the bigger it looks.

straight up and down with hooters
Ladybug, that's two of us! I lose weight everywhere but the middle...I wear child sized bracelets because adult ones just slide right off my wrists...and my dentist says I have an incredibly small mouth (hah!! so there, to anyone who's complained about my big mouth!).
Do you have a problem finding pants with a natural waist too? Everything's low rider now, and I'm afraid one of these days they'll just drop right off me..that straight up and down can be a real problem...

Funny you mentioned that painter...I used to work with a woman that was very thin and hated it when people called her skinny. I never would have guessed that people could see that word as an insult
Yep I would prefer to be called tiny..

I was very thin when I was younger. I enlisted in the Navy when I was 20 years old at 112 lbs. It hasn't been that long, when I reached my mid 30's, that I actually gained a little weight.
When I started lifting weights regularly a few years ago, and due to the fact that my metabolism has slowed a little as I've gotten older, I started putting on a few pounds. Most of it was muscle weight though. I now weigh 155 lbs., and seem to stay right at that number consistently.

Yours, belongs to only you. Home of your thoughts, feelings, wishes, dreams, hopes, all bound within your flesh..belongs to only you. Its truely one of a kind. Like many books, each has its own story.
Mine, belongs to me. Home of my heart, thoughts, fears, and joy. I am only I, for I can be none but me.
We, belongs to us. The connections we make threw thoughts, wishes, smiles, and dreams, are as different and unqinic, as we our ourself. This is how it comes to be that no two kisses, are ever the same. No touch touches every alike.
I an a lover of learning. Discovery and sharing, are wonderful forms of love making.

Yes , skinny people get comments all the time, i forget when it was that i got fed up with it but now my reply to'have you lost weight' is NO you have gained weight'. Well it used to be that but lately I just smile
Its all ok, one of my sisters is way over weight and to me she is so lovely. I remember one night talking to her son who is way over weight, he told me in a hurt tone about how he feels being so big, I told him he is NOT FAT, he has fat...there is a difference.

[QUOTE] Have problems with waist in pants..... and gut to butt pill
Good heavens, Heaven, I can't buy anything off the rack. Must alter everything. It doesn't help being short too. If it fits my middle, it looks like i've done something in my pants and i'm walking on the bottom of them.....dresses that are supposed to be knee length are ankle length, and never enough room in the bust.
If they do invent a pill for moving the gut to the butt, I want to be first in line to get one. How is it possible to lose weight in your butt and not your gut????
I bow down to the weight loss and butt gods and pray to be in their good favor .

As mentioned already, "body types" are not always easy to define. Some of the listed body types are fairly straightforward like Muscular and Athletic/Toned. However, others are "relative" such as A Few Extra Pounds and Average. I must also say that body types are a mixed bag for many people. I'm Heavyset. I'm also A Few Extra Pounds, Thick, Stocky, and Muscular.

Average . . .my favorite online ambiguity. I believe this is the most subjective of all possible choices when used to describe one's own body. I lady I went out with recently told me this story which makes me think the choice may not be as delusion based as I once thought.
This lady, who I subjectively see as being slender and/or height weight proportionate, was putting together an online profile with the help of a friend. I have met the friend, and she is a wonderful person that is carrying an extra twenty pounds around with her. When they came to "body type" they had the usual choices . . .slim, slender, average, a few extra pounds, BBW . . . My lady friend decided to choose "average."
Her friend screamed in protest, "You can't put down average! I put down average and you are slimmer than I am." My friend changed her profile to read slender.
I believe the solution to honesty in the body descriptions can be accomplished with two changes. The first would be to require a photo (typical male, I really need those photos!) showing a person standing and framed from head to toe. As much as I would like to have a swim suit photo (that pesky Y chromosome raises its ugly head once again!), discretion and reality would dictate well fitting clothing - no muumuus or bulky ski coats.
The second would be to, as some dating sites do, provide an opportunity for people to describe their body type in their own words. As an example, I prefer using "I have the body of an ex-athlete/jock and need to be reminded to 'suck it in' whenever there is a camera around."
Body type, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. An honest presentation allows the beholder to fully appreciate the beholdee.
YMMV (your mileage may vary), always consider the source.

Interesting discussion, especially since some many people (men and women, though I suspect women are more prone to it) see something in themselves other than reality. In some cases, it's the person who used to be heavy, but got the weight under control: sadly, they frequently tend to see themselves the way they WERE and not the way they are, and describe themselves accordingly. Of course, the reverse applies - the skinny rip who finally fleshed out (and even over-fleshed) still sees and describes that skinny rip. And then, there are the folks (again most frequently women) who have eating disorders based upon psychological disorders... they can NEVER be thin enough, and do see themselves as carrying a few too many pounds (or more than a few).
I agree that the reasonable photo is a desireable way to go - and that applies to both women and men. That presumes, naturally, that the photo is reality and not retouched or once-way-long-ago-and-far-away!
Dunno.... I've been questioned about mine, and I don't really know how to answer other than in jest. Yes, I'm tiny (or at least technically underweight). and yes, I can buck a ton of hay, and probably probably could deck someone who deserves it~ But I don't see those terms on the self-descriptive list!

Athletic / Toned
Muscular
Slim / Slender
Average
Thick
Few extra pounds
Stocky
Curvy
Heavyset
Full-figured
Big and beautiful
none of those fit me... I'm almost 6' 5"up until a few years ago I was thin at 220... a zillion medications later, I'm about 350, and struggling with weight, and I used to eat anything I wanted...
Father Heart, the "no butt" syndrome is also one of my flaws... but I found that pant is Mexico are tailored for those of us "Posterior Challenged" folks

In this country overweight is average. According to the A.M.A 60% of Americans are overweight. As we get older weight tends to sneak up on us, we need to watch ourselves closer. Some times the food is so good it's hard to resist, and our bodies aren't up to the exercise to burn it off. 3500 calories = ? hours of exercise
