Dandelions serve a practical two fold purpose- In the spring the leaves make a great salad- I think most women would appreciate them more than the roses- Great idea Some....

i may want to have this one but but...they really should think that a regular Japanese tatami room can't accommodate all of them.

i've had a couple of gals ask me the first time I bought them flowers... "What did you do?"

it seems that all the other men in their lives only bought flowers when they messed up...

Raykl....I'm surprised at you....you forgot to mention the dandelion stems can be made into chains, which when linked together, they can make unique bracelets and necklaces!!!

Girls...please don't shoot me....It's Friday and I'm sure it just slipped Raykl's mind!!

Eyes, I think the term "daisy chain" means something different to Raykl.

Oh wait, we're talking about dandelions!

Guys, one rose in a bud base will stir a woman's heart. It is the consideration and thoughtfulness that women like, not the amount of money spent.

Ray, where I come from, daisy chain is known as pulling a train.

I often wonder why of all flowers, roses became the symbol of love. Is there an answer for this?

I am not fond of roses though. I knew i loved orchids very much ever since i was young.

I know several ladies that feel the same as you Beauty. They would rather have wildflowers, or another that they like better than roses.

Wonder what daffodils mean?

Daffodils -- If a knight in shining armor gets the door for you, picks up the tab or does some other sort of chivalrous deed, it wouldn't hurt to give him a yellow daffodil or two to let him know just how "gallant" you think he is.

That's a nice thing to know about the daffodils. Flower bouquets are beautiful, but I would rather receive a live plant. It's kind of sad to end up trashing the dead flowers. I guess you can press some and save them, and I suppose they are going to die on the stalk anyway.

I see I've managed to talk myself into changing my mind. If someone wants to send me a bouquet of flowers, I would gratefully accept them.

I would get off fairly easily with my rose order (if I were sending flowers). I would be ordering an 'Orange7'. I wonder what 1000 roses represents?

seems i always manage to find a song for many threads.. and this one is for the flowers and romance.. thing.. :) sweet N Louisiana
( montgomery gentry song country of course )
She Don't Tell Me To
Every now an' then, on my home,
I stop at a spot where the wild flowers grow, an' I pick a few,
'Cause she don't tell me to.
I go out with my boys all right,
But most of the time I call it a night before they do,
'Cause she don't tell me to.
Sunday mornin', I'm in church,
An' my butt an' my back an' necktie hurt, but I'm in the pew,
She don't tell me to.

Any other woman I know would have tried,
To control me and it would be over.
Plannin' on my goin' on my own way attitude.
All of that stubborness melts away,
When I wake with her head on my shoulder,
An' I know I've got to love her,
Until my life is through,
'Cause she don't tell me to.

Well, I got demons and I've got pride,
But when I'm wrong, I apologise like she's mine to lose,
'Cause she don't tell me to.
Well, I got dreams in this heart of mine,
But nothin' that I wouldn't lay aside if she asked me to.
'Cause she don't tell me to.
An' she don't even know,
That she keeps lookin' for the next right thing to do,
'Cause she don't tell me to.
Yeah, yeah.

Any other woman I know would have tried,
To control me and it would be over.
Plannin' on my goin' on my own way attitude.
And all of that stubborness melts away,
When I wake with her head on my shoulder,
An' I know I've got to love her,
Until my life is through,
What else can I do?
What else can I do?
Whoa, I love her,
'Cause she don't tell me to.
She don't tell me to.

Every now an' then, on my home,
I stop at a spot where the wild flowers grow, an' I pick a few,
Yes I do.

I love roses, they are my favorite flower. But, I would rather some one give me just a single rose, than a whole bouquet. To me it means so much more that way.
