All my life no one in my hometown has made any indication that they found me the least bit attractive. But for in the past couple years girls I've met from other towns, and even in other countries have strait up told me they thought I was good looking. Why is this? Just kinda curioius. Kinda boggles the mind. Oh and I'm not trying to brag. I hate bragging.

Just about every girlfriend I've ever had, I met in my old hometown.
I need to get out there more often.

it's definitely the same way here.
a few boys find me attractive here that i know of but definitely not a lot....and one girl that i know of is sexually attracted to me, a lot of girls think i'm pretty but it never turns into anything.
on here i always get messages saying how beautiful i am. i don't get it.

Even though I met most of my girlfriends in my hometown, none of them were part of "my crowd" so they were all outsiders. They were all new to town or a friends cousin or something like that.

yes but then there is the distinct possibility that the people in your new hometown may not find you attractive either :-S

I think it might be because after so many years of being around the same people everyone starts looking like family. Tell you the truth, I'm not all that attracted to anyone in town anyway. I look at a girl who a few years ago I might have thought was cute, but now the thought of asking her out doesnt even cross my mind.

Simple enough problem to solve!! Move to WV or AK or TN or KY. Won't matter if they are or just look like family there!!
Seriously though, I do know what you mean. I thought for years that no one in my home town was attracted to me. Then I found out that someone was. It seems that I was putting out the "wrong" vibe and made myself unapproachable to this person. So I simply started getting involved in community projects (habitat for humanity is a good one as well as helping out at the fire dept.) and low and behold I found that quite a few were interested.

OH-
I don't know how big your hometown is, but I know when I use to visit my Grandma in a small town, guys and gals had kinda gotten matched up throughout their school years, so it lessened the availability somewhat. And you are right-I think the "seems like family" thing does happen. But, that doesn't mean it's with everyone! Like Harley said, join things you haven't been part of before and get to know some even better.
