Ok, to the men and women here.
When was the last time you romanced someone? How did you do it?
Romance is lacking in alot of relationships. I think this is a major cause of breakups in some marriages too.
You have to keep the candles burning,,,the romance alive!!!!!!

bought her a book with fabio on the cover,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,oh is this a serious thread? cause i'm joking,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i'm not always sure what romance is,,,,,,the illusion of something? convincing someone your one kind of person long enough to get in her pants? smoke and mirrors? conforming to a stereotype? ie; tall dark and handsome? i dunno to me romance is just being yourself,,,,,being real,,,,,,

Gosh, it's been a couple years since I've been around a guy to do so! But, a few years ago, my ex and I were going to a Blues Festival. Since he lives out of state, we decided to both drive, and got a hotel room. I packed my tabletop fountain, a blanket, cheese, fruit, a bottle of wine. When he met me at the hotel, I had a picnic, with nice music, and a bubble bath waiting.

Long Long Ago in a land far far away....
I invited my boyfriend (at that time) over and had a trail of candles from the living room thru the bedroom into the bath... I had a nice warm bath ready for him and I was in a towel.... Needless to say, it was a very good nite

Hmmm, romance is about showing the other person you care in small ways. I like it when a guy combs my hair - to me, that is romantic.
I like to share food - again, to me, that is romantic.
I like to tell the person the things I like about them, again, to me...
I like to talk about their day and share mine, again, to me...
I like to send them an IM that says Good Morning, ...
I will cook a meal from scratch...
I will go shopping with him if he likes that and help him with whatever chore he has, ...
Basically, it depends on the person and what I think they will like based on what they have told me and what I have observed.

2 years ago- I bought at target a bag of 300 tea lights... and yes, I lit every single one of them, most burned out before I was done. I put on some good mixes- Chris Deburgh.. Lady in Red - Desiree... Kssing you ... you get the gist... and I took a bath waiting for him. Needless to say I waited in the tub for an hour and a half, I was a prune. And when he got home he was too tired and stressed from hanging out with his friends to want to do anything.
Last time, never again.

I admit I did not find it humorous, but am not bent out of shape.
Last time, never again.
Maybe try something simpler next time. I find simple works wonders. It can be done everyday and at the spur of the moment.

Romantic things to do for a guy?
Hmmmm
Depends on the guy - some would like it if you would let them watch a sports game without interruption LOL
A backrub or full body massage (warm oil)
Prepare/buy his favorite meal and play some romantic music
Give him a book that appeals to him
Wear some slinky lingerie - his favorite color
Make sure the house is clean and the kids are off to bed or at neighbors or wherever.
Think about things he likes/ things that appeal to him - go from there.

Well When I lived Near the Water I have done the Picnic on the Beach under the stars with a candle, then a walk under the stars along the sea wall..
I have also not on a regular basis when she would be out working Just buy her favorite flowers and place it on the Kitchen table as a surprise, but the last special romantic thing i did was with my ex, I work out of town and she wanted to come up and visit me, so i rented a jacuzzi suit at a motel, placed candles around the tub, Of Course Bought Roses For her and also her favorite Collectible and was able to find it as a candle holder and when she showed up had the fireplace on tub ready with bubbles of course and all the candles lit, was a real nice night..
