A long idle thought crossed my mind today while I was soaking in a tub of bubbles....I sure miss having someone to wash my back for me and refill my wine glass.......
What does everyone miss the most, besides intimacy, about being single??? Little things that we all take for granted in a relationship and then miss when we find ourselves alone.......

I'm married, but I miss being single sometimes. I've developed codependency and would like to be independent for just one day. Wake up alone at whatever hour I choose and to be able to go shopping without being nagged at.

Aaaaah Jessa.....that is probably the one thing I reveled in for a long time was the ability to do what I wanted, when I wanted without someone asking me when, where and why????...But....lol...having done my thing...now I want it back.

I miss being in the Army, traveling around the world, meeting and living with interesting people and cultures. Messing up all there languages, or mixing them up in a way that the native speaker or myself don’t know what the hell I am talking about! LOL

What does everyone miss the most, besides intimacy, about being single???
Looking across the table during a meal and seeing that smiling face, Snuggling up next to her on the sofa and watching a movie....... holding hands and taking long walks..... in other words, everything that single life can't provide, including the intamacy.

I miss talking on the phone until four o'clock in the morning when we started at 7:00 PM
I miss kicking his ass at Soul Calibur II, when I had just started playing it a few months ago and he had been playing it since it first came out...and I miss never being able to win at Super Smash Bros Melee
I miss that time when my cramps were really, really bad and he would not let me get out of bed...he went and got me Ibuprofen and a glass of water.
I miss wrestling matches and tickle fights.
I miss how he used to make fun of his parents to make me laugh when I got upset.
I miss our weird roleplays and the fact that I know he didn't really enjoy most of them but he did it because I really, really loved to do it.
I miss that time sophomore year when we came home, and there was nobody home but him and I so we took a bath together...we didn't have sex but two weeks later my period hadn't come and I was scared I was pregnant because there had been semen in the bathwater 
And really a lot more, I only put down a fraction of it....

I don't know what I miss. I know that I miss nothing at all from my marriage, but from my relationships before that I miss simply having someone to share my thoughts and feelings with. It can be very lonely sometimes, especially when I have ideas, thoughts, and feelings, and no-one to share them with. I miss having to use my intellect at home, having no-one to discuss things with, no-one to bring the best out of me. Ah well.

I miss coming home and yelling .. "Lucy, I'm home" (I still do that when I visit Mom & Dad.. but is so not the same)
I miss laughing together so hard.. tears roll down both our faces, our sides hurt and we begin snorting (now ain't that a romantic thing)
I miss someone seeing me after I get all gussied up, being quiet for a moment, then saying "Wow.. you look lovely"
I miss a shoulder to cry on when I am down and hugs that make the hurt go away.
I miss rolling over, waking slightly and catching sight of that one whose smile (and drool and snoring) make me warm
I miss the little PDAs.. the touch of my arm, the smile across the room, the accidental step in front and quick kiss.. the footsies at dinner parties.. the evil glances while smiling and pretending to listen to the others
I miss someone to tell me .."it will be alright"
I miss laughter, tears, etc. SHARED .. I miss sharing *sigh*
