Just as a curiosity, what do y'all do for a living?
Myself, I write. I have a book that I'm working on that I don't really like to talk about, and a studio that I'm starting up with a buddy of mine for a comic book that I write and he draws(yes, I do enjoy tilting at windmills). I work a day job, but nothign that I'm really serious about; it pays the bills and will help fund the studio, but that's about it, not like I plan on staying there forever.
So, how about you guys(and girls, nobody should be left out!)?

I've always had trouble saying what I do for a living online, since I work in the criminal justice system, which means the gov't. So if I specify what field, it'd take anyone on the planet only about 30 secs. to get my office phone number. But, it's nothing cool, I'm just a paper pusher.
Writing comic books sounds like alot more fun.

I work in construction but I've found my own little niche.
The vast majority of homes that are built are kit type homes. I discovered that people often want things a little different than what the plans call for. After the framers get their job done I run around and make minor alterations like moving doorways and windows.

It is, as long as you don't mind being poor, especially if you're facing down the barrel of self-publishing like we are, lol.
Still, I don't really complain, it's what I love to do, and I wouldn't have it any other way. There's something freeing about being able to do a story in a way where you only have one other person to answer to and an unlimited special effects budget. ^_^

I work in cholesteric led crystal displays...similar technology to the display on a cell phone but we work mostly with gov't projects. I do small scale production and prototyping. It's incredibly repetative and highly detailed. I'd die of boredom if I weren't a student too!

I'm support for a global computer system that I helped design and write over the past 20 years or so. I don't know what boredom is, and work with a great bunch of people. Yes, I know how lucky I am!!

I don't do anything for a living. I go to the office every day and collect a paycheck. my title is Office Manager/Internal Recruiter. Management moved all my tasks to the corporate office and doesn't realize that I don't do anything productive for 75% of my day. I'll have two job offers on Monday so after that, I'll either be Director of Finance for a non-profit or Accountant/Office Manager for a small construction company. It'll be great to work for a living again.
My passion is as an artist. I do that in my off time. I spend more money at that than I earn at this point.

I just recently got my license to sell insurance. May sound boring... but it's not, especially since I have such great co-workers. Of course, the big boss is a turd, but... oh well, nothing's perfect.

I'm a Customer Support Manager for a paint manufacturing company. Boss hired a new sales manager so they changed my title to make it look good. I consider my job as an Office Manager/shipper/accounts receivables, etc. etc. The best part of my job was talking with men but have even lost that due to the sales mgr. No more smozzing
My dream is to get back to the law field but unfortunately the cost to taking a course is holding me back

Mainly I breathe air, eat food and drink water, and sleep when I can.
I have hobbies like going to work as an Engineer, Engineering trainer, or Electrician. It depends on what is the best long term job at the time. I will probably be going into business real soon.
