I cooked dinner and we had drinks and then we sat in the hottub (naked) and played up periscope. Then we went outside and sat on the deck and listen to the creek flow by....

Had dinner at a waterfront cafe, went to a jazz concert on the beach, then danced the night away at a warterfront pub. We returned to my boat had champagne and Chamborge (spelling?), cuddled for the rest of the night and went sailing the next day.
Wonderful time!

Went to a New Years eve dance at my brothers tavern,we met some old friends there but the music was so bad we never danced.Nope,didnt even have enough to drink to alligator dance to that band.

Oh Lord!! My last date started out as a disaster, but ended up very nice. My date was traveling from the next county (about 60 miles away) and called to say he was on his way. About 20 minutes after he called, my babysitter called and cancelled!  I had no way to get in touch with my date to let him know. We had originally planned on going to dinner and then to a club. When my date got here I explained to him what had happened and told him how sorry I was. But low and behold!! A REAL gentleman!!!!! He asked my son what kind of things he liked to do and my son told him he really wanted to watch a particular movie that had just come in at the movie rental place. So my date suggested we go pick up a couple of movies and stop at Subway and just make an evening of it here at my place. He did a wonderful job of including my child and didn't appear phased by ANY of it. He just went with the flow. Neither of us was looking for a love interest and we're still good friends and go out on occasion. Sometimes with my son in tow, and sometimes without!!  Yeah! For people who understand that crap happens and can roll with the flow instead of out the door!!!!!!

had lunch at 1pm and i didn`t get back home till 5pm.If my son wouldn`t have called to ask me where i was i think we would have talked till dinner time.Very nice time and i`d like to see him again.

About a month ago I had dinner with my landlord's son, it was fine until he started trying to kiss me  . He called a day or two later but I had to make it clear I only saw him as a friend. I'm sure that didn't sit too well with him, lol! Well, at least I was reminded of how nice it is to get out of the house and converse with anyone other than my kids or the cats...

We met at Starbucks, went and saw a movie and then had dinner. We then went to my favorite coffee shop and then the river front. The date ended at 2am with a nice kiss at the door. He was quite a gentleman.

Went to a BBQ, met some new folks, sang, played... found a quiet spot sat cross legged facing each other and laughed our faces off 'till daylight... Oh sweet times!

Went to a really cool hamburger joint with a large screen tv on the floor in the bar (yep on the floor lol)....ate a great casual but delicious dinner, talked a lot, then went for a ride, and a walk....I even got flowers the next day. They still smell pretty

Is it a date if you sit there choking down bad Chinese while listening to what went wrong with the previous 4 marriages? How about sitting there trying to be attentive while the cell phone won't stop ringing with inbounds from supposedly ex-wife # somethingorother, or supposedly ex-girlfriend who appears to not know that she's supposedly ex? Or... the 'I have to run some errands we'll eat later' that turns into just drop me back home since it's too damned late for dinner at this point?
But then, there was the nice dinner (ok, acceptable fare) interrupted by my pager and the need to leave immediately to address a problem at the office. My problem, but at least THAT one I suggested in advance might happen! The others were just plain rude!
Funny, I don't consider it a DATE unless it's the second time, when you KNOW you want to spend some time together. I can't remember when that last occurred!

It was last year.
Went on a day date. Pick her up in the morning at her place. Went for breakfast at a small Dinner named Mom's. I know the people who own the place so made for some good conversation back and forth.
Head south to the Texas hill country, to a small city Fredericksburg, where there are wine vineyards and over 150 antiques shops, galleries, boutiques and emporiums on the Main Street. Visited as many as we could that morning.
FYI - An area that was settled about 160 years ago by German settlers. Had lunch at a German Restaurant. Head on over to a car show at the airport for the afternoon. Drove back that night. A hug and kiss at the door and head on home. Had a great time.
