What is your typical man or women you date?

Most of the men I meet in person or date for a while are IT managers who dress somewhat metrosexual, have glasses, and wear cute vintage shirts. I don't pick most of them, they pick me. The pattern is that they are nice, smart, and cute. We will have sparks, just not major sparks.
It is a broken record for me. Could be worse, like if they were mean or cheaters or something. But it does not seem to be getting me anywhere as far as a great love, or end up meaningful. It is more "cordial".
I am talking a lot with a guy who is not in this mold (Pilot), so it will be interesting to see how it plays out if/when we meet. I look forward to something different.
Is there a type that seems to gravitate toward you?

I either get the construction cowboy type....nice butt...strong arms...and rough hands wow o wow....
Or the deep thinkers ...analytical...adventerous...dreamers.....another big wow
The suit guys not so much.....maybe its cause they can tell I dont like to be stuck in a office

I seem to date girls who seem to be lacking major personality traits. They just kinda seem to nod and go along with whatever I'm saying. Either that, or we just don't "spark" at all. I haven't been in the dating scene for long, though... so that could be why, I suppose?

For some reason, engineers love me! I think it may be because engineers tend to be perverts, and I enjoy somewhat perverted/"guy" humor. They're fairly smart but sometimes underachievers. They're NOT metrosexual, and frankly I wish they were...but just a little! They also lie about their height! They're usually between 5'8" and 5'10" but they always add 2 inches. I have no clue what that's all about!
I did ask a guy why engineers tend to be perverted. His reply: "Because they hang around other engineers!"

I tend to attract, or I am attracted to the "artsy/intellectual" type. Probably because I am creative and expressive, and I like to write, and dabble with music. My best friend, she is a songwriter/musician.... we get along famously.... Another person I know is a writer. I feel kind of at home with those types.
On the flipside, I also tend to attract women who are extremely needy, and mentally/emotionally unbalanced, and have huge life issues....I think they see me as a "rescuer" (I have no idea why, but it happens)
I also find I attract the "tomboy" types too... The girls that are equally at home in a dress, or playing sports or something.... One of my "hidden talents" is pretty good athletic ablility.... When I play a game, be it softball, soccer, or floor hockey, I give it all I have....because it's fun.

I tend to attract women who are looking for a free ride, or women who are simply bad news with bad attitudes. Saying that, online I seem to attract a much better class of woman, but they all live at least 4000 miles from me.
I think I need to get out more.

Okay, lol, mine seem to run in spells, for a while it was financial advisors, then it was business owners, then it was engineers, lol, and then it was cowboys, right now, it seems to be djs, have had three write me in the past three weeks, went out with one. I never know, but when one emails me a whole bunch of others of the same type do the same thing. It is amazing.

I mostly seem to attract tech people and sales people. There are exceptions, but that seems to be the majority. The techies because of their patience, dry wit and intellectual side. The sales people because of their strong personalities, wit and their ability to entertain my mind. Now, if I could only get a tech salesperson with wit, intelligence, patience, strong personality and strong communication skills...

Living where I live and because I help a lot of ranchers with livestock...cows, mainly. A little depressing, but the upside is that they are easily led to pasture....
