ok i live in a small upstate area near albany NY i am 34 male single and there is like no single ladies in this area worth dating or so it seems if there are any honest genuine ladies in this area who wont put me down for what i do for work or my situation it would be nice to find them around here

I think sites like this are perfect for opening up the area where you can find someone. When you live in a small town, a dating site isn't going to help much if you will only consider a relationship with people from that small town yo live in. You would be better off walking around town or hitting the local bar.
Now if you want to have a much bigger selection of women that would have interest in you, sites like this are perfect!

Maybe we'll have an upstate New York get together sometime-- I would be willing to travel-- to a point. Then again, there didn't seem to be much interest in the get together section. But you should maybe broaden your horizons from that small town.

howdy....looked at your profile and did not see what you refered to that girls put you down for...?,,,,,,if no one is available locally what options do you have?....what type ladies do you contact at this site?...do you respond to other coutries?,,Philippines?!!........what do you really want?...is that a viable need/desire?....give it some time,,,try different things....yea never know...

they put down for the kind of work i do plus also i have looked abroad like ukraine or russia since cant find anyone that turns me on n america who would actually talk to someone like me so yes i have started looking across to other countries

Uhh... move! Yeah, try that if you are unsatisfied. Then again, you could also work on not being insecure about what you do also. Just come out and be honest about it rather than beating around the bush.
Oh yeah, I never realized Albany was that small?

I live in a small town too, about 9,000, and I've been to Albany many years ago. One of the reasons I've started to use this site is because I wanted to widen the arena of where I can meet people. As for your job, in this economy any job is one to be grateful for, especially in the smaller cities. If you can't find anyone because of it, well, seems to me someone that doesn't accept all of you isn't worth finding. At least Albany has an airport, I know because we almost hit a deer on the runway.

Tony...I live in Denton,which is 30 miles north of Dallas/Ft Worth, and the guys think thats too far away to drive...and forget the bars....they dont work either...

I live in a relatively small town (relative to Albany, that is), around a university area. Gosh! I wish I could stop the 20 year old cuties from hitting on me. 
Dude, seriously, try clubs and stuff (I mean not discos, but social activity clubs) like swing dancing, outdoors, hiking, the AMC. (Oh wait, there already short on women, but you might find one). Take an interesting class at Albany State, or Union, RPI, etc. Oh wait, I went to RPI, scrap that.

I love small towns. I couldn't live anywhere else unless it was further out in the country. I haven't seen my house key in years. I like being able to get up, go out and start my truck, then come in and take a shower and find my truck running on the street where I left it.

I know where Concord Michigan is. My son played basketball against them for 4 years.
Also I used to work in Jackson Mi., so I would go through Concord every night to work.
I lived outside of Reading Michigan.

You probably know where Hanover is too. That's where I grew up. now I live in Norvell on the far side of the county.

Yes I lived in the lower part of Michigan for at least 21 years. I was born in Ohio though.

I lived in Allen for a winter while my ex wifes parents were in Florida. I think that was in 94.
Yeah we got a little snow today. No accumulation.
