You could always try the local morgue. The men are a bit stiff at first, but they gradually thaw out after awhile.

Home Depot is a great place for women to meet men. All they need to do is stand in one of the aisles with a puzzled look on their face and she's sure to get a few guys asking her if they can help. Even if you're not attracted to them they might have brothers or cousins...;)

Not many replies from the ladies; maybe they're still thinking? 
Any place to meet men or women that are out of the normally designated "date" venues is problematic. Reason being is because initiating relationship conversation at the mall, hardware store, or standing in the line at the grocery checkout counter might also get you slapped, or create a fast call to Security.

Barnes & Noble, and Best Buy are my two favorite hangouts. I love to read, and I'm like a kid in a candy store when it comes to electronic gadgets. I could go broke in either store.
If you see a guy in a place such as those, you could always strike up a conversation by asking advice on what to buy. That would work with me because I no longer approach women. It's too much work, and sometimes they look at you like you're an axe murderer or something.
Thus you might have to be pro-active in going after what you want in some instances.

I would say it all depends on the type of guy you want to meet. I fyou are looking for someone that is intellectual I would have to say Barnes and Nobles or Books a million. You can also try Best Buy or Circuit City because a lot of geeks Majority of them being males go there. Then again if you are looking for just a one time thing then the bars or clubs yes I know obvious answer. Also you can check out your local gaming comunity. There are generally tons of guys there with maybee only a few if any women at all. This again is if you like geeks. But there are plenty of ment there. Well here in charleston there are anyways. Generally between the ages of 18 -Thirties.

you couldn't have a better set up than you've got right here.
You are up by chicago, so there should be tons of profiles on here from guys close by. Do a search and narrow it down to a handfull you like. Then send them an email to join you here on the message boards. That way they know you are interested, and you get to check out how they interact before you get to personal. Nothin wrong with a woman making the first move.
Lastly, you should put a picture on here. Nothing will get you more responses than a picture.

well myself hun i am usually at a casino or car shows or yes even just driving around for the hell of it but if you got any casinos nearby try that and i know there is a casino in evansville indiana which isnt to far from chicago illinois so that might be an option myself i am 34 male single and i have a problem finding anyone myself because they aint in the normal places either
