Many of us have different approaches to different situations and in these situations we must make certain choices. These choices are governed by how we feel, think, or how we see things as they arise.
Let's look two perspectives to this: Others may say that it is their heart that decides. well, if this is the case, decisions are made based on your own feelings, or gut feelings, even though the mind doesn`t really agree with how you feel. People with heart over mind are usually those who use their sentiments before taking any particular action.
Others on the other hand use their mind over their heart. Their actions are based on logic. and in this sense, practicality, rather than sentiment, takes over. These people think over things very carefully before doing any action rather than following the impulse of their heart.
Now what i ask of you is this: Where do you think do you belong? Which is better? And why?......

I go by intuition.. gut so its more a heart choice .......... feeling choice........And its usually right on the mark.

Another wonderfully thought-provoking thread by Tinker! I would have to say that I am one of those Heart over Mind folks......to my detriment. I am learning my lesson and now am leaning more towards the Mind over Heart practical side. Why? Well letting my heart decide has gotten me nothing but heartache, but practicality and logic never fails me so I am starting to play it more safe now, but every now and again my heart still rules the roost, but not anything like it used to. So which one are you, Tink?

I think that I'm a person who thinks with the heart. The heart, which is the root, the identity, the disposition, the spirit, of who I actually am. And from using the heart to make decisions, my conclusions would form the actual me, not from some society polluted thoughts from the mind. Using the mind to make decisions make up intellectual logics, something which conclude with the reality of something which can't be felt, but be seen. Some things don't result to visualizations, but to the guts. So, I think to have a careful decision, one should use both, the mind and the heart because the heart tends to have a either a bias or sensitive point of view to certain things. Using the mind quiet our feelings down to think. But feelings appeals more to the majorities.

I am a bit of both... I am very logical and practical( Taurus trait) but I also think with my heart and trust my instincts.

I use to think with my heart till many times burnt. I learned to use my mind and gut instinct then my heart. Problem was I would always try to see the good in people and blinded by the evil.
So now I think before I leap. And it has worked!

Yes this is me too...............except I'm still waiting for it to work! I want my next relatonship to last forever...so I will be taking it slow and easy and using my mind much more than my heart this time.

Good topic. Often when getting to know someone, either they appeal more to your heart or your head. I honestly believe that making a decision based on either or isn't the best. When you find someone that your heart and head agree that this is something good, they're both giving the green light, then you've got something worth pursuing. Decisions based soley on emotions/feeling or logic/rational thought are usually lacking. Making a decision for a romantic partner based on logic, someone who looks good on paper and void of emotion, chemistry or spark leads to loveless and dull relationships. Basing it solely on the heart/emotions is often something that's an up and down situation. Emotions and feelings change often, aren't stable.
This is just how I think and what has worked for me.

I'm a bit of both in certain aspects of my life I use my heart over mind. Friends, family, and guys I always go with my heart. Other aspects such as moving, and decided where I want to be in the next two years I normally use a bit of my mind and my heart. It all depends on what is going on in my life.

I should follow more the impulse of my heart than the logic of my mind because baseing everything on reasoning doesnt allow for the unreasonable.
The heart does.

years ago i used my heart instead of my gut feeling or my mind and got stuck in a situation (wont go into it) but from then on ive used my mind and my gut feeling

I don`t use my mind cause I lost it years ago and my heart has a lock on it so I reckon I better start using my gut..
