Ok, I'm beginning to give up. Are there any REAL men in KY?? Or is it that every man in KY is looking for the "Barbie Doll" look alike? Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places but I am tired of comming across the one night stand guys and the guys that are looking for the perfect look alike for barbie. But I'm beginning to give up on this site. Let me know what you all think...maybe some feed back will help, who knows?

Well, since noone else is going to step up and defend our gender here I suppose I will. Yes, there are real men left in Ky....tho I will admit they may be getting hard to find.Thats not due to any lack of them being available but more due to them being overlooked or pushed aside I think. Just as alot of guys may be looking for that Barbie as you say,most decent guys I know are being passed over for those guys that I hear women complaining about so much.So, dont give up just yet...but just possibly take a closer look at whats around you.

Ok not demeaning your age bracket, but what I recall as being at that age is guys are just looking for one thing... Sorry if the truth hurts but atleast I am giving the truth from experience. And guys in your age range still haven't quite figured out that pants are to be worn up around the waist, not down around the knees. Now it's not the style of clothing but, if that's the kinda of guys you are exposed to then just remember they are trying to impress with dress and attitude(bad ones to boot)
not caring about your feelings other than getting you alone and talk the talk, but they have a hard time walking the walk. So try and keep your sprits up, there's only so much you can do online.

Yes, there are real men out there, most are married or have a significant other... and the ones that are left are being overrun buy the ass-holes who aren't. By-the-way "singlesexydad", you are sexy ; )

Ok, as far as the age bracket thing goes I completely understand. Lord knows I've ran into a lot of assholes my age. But then again that would explain why most women my age go for older men. But hey you run into any of these nice guys that you all talk about send one my way LOL.

CRESCENT MOON

As daylight descends on darkness soon.
Night brings forth her crescent moon.
Making way the starry night.
Darkness renders forth her crescent light.
Pointing sharply from point to peak.
Its partial face shines humbled and meek.
I try even harder not to stare
As if she had an unrevealing secret to share.
I rendered, all her beauty, my attention first
For it was the darkness I feared the worst.
Then the unspeakable became truly revealing
Somehow I found the darkness appealing.
Now my greatest passion is the unknowing.
And my knowledge is forever growing.
I will not give myself, my heart, too soon
To the beauty of a crescent moon.
As the outward appearance of people shine
You only see them parts at a time.
Now as I look upon their eyes and faces
To seek out their darkest places.
I search to find their heart and the soul.
That’s the place that doesn’t outward show.
I don’t look for the array that fills the room
I look for beauty of their crescent moon.
Ladies please don't seek the hearts of men, but rather let you hearts be sought. Show yourself real to him; express your wants and desires. In our hearts we don’t look for Barbie’s, we look for love. An unseen love, a deep love, some you can’t find while it’s in front of you. But it always there inside of you.

Very nice poem, and nice words too, but you will have to excuse me if i dont readily believe them.
You may be sincere in what you say, but please dont say all men are that way, it just isnt the case.

Dear Kentucky Classic,
Thank you very much for the kind words, in regards to my poem. I would never say something I don’t believe myself. As a young man, while living in Germany, I was introduced to a lady twice my age. She taught me several things about a woman and how she should be treated. As you read this please, don’t think of it as seductive or beguiling, dirty or perverted. But she taught me how to be kind, warm, gentle, and respective, to all women regardless of age or appearance. She showed me how to care and caress a woman’s body and embrace the emotions of a woman’s heart. She showed me how to read and understand a women’s body motion, or to look her in the eyes to see if she was pleased or uncomfortable. She was a very kind lady, and one I will remember for the rest of my loving life. Please forgive me for saying so, but women of today are not as they use to be. Most, not all, women are a little more flamboyant and materialistic, and thus have perverted the minds of most but not all men. With the information of today’s technology it has provided a world wide panic of perversion and parody, and it’s what we are left to deal with today. Please don’t misconstrue this letter as an excuse for the behavior of men and women of today’s time. I still believe in romance, low lighting from a fire place, chilled wine, soft music, and a polite conversation.
Would you like to know my definition between smiling and happy?
You can make someone smile when you touch their minds
But you can make someone happy when you touch their heart
Happiness last longer than smiles,
And smiles can be faked, try to fake happiness
To anyone that reads this, please I hope nothing I’ve said was found offensive, or portrayed negatively. I hope every one looking, finds true love, or finds them.

Your words so very true of smles and happiness...."You can make someone smile when you touch their minds But you can make someone happy when you touch their heart Happiness last longer than smiles, And smiles can be faked, try to fake happiness" .... Smiles sometimes can reflect happiness however, especially if those smiles reaches the eyes, which are the windows to the soul.
