  [B] Iam very homesick,for Louisiana,and all my friends down there.It has
been since February 2004, since i have lived there.Iam here in Seattle,Washington,because,of a family
emergency,by the way,it is all clearedup,now i want to come back to where my heart is.I use to live, in Opelousas.I love the
warm and friendly people,and the beautiful weather,yes!!! i said beautiful weather  .The weather up here, is for the Ducks!!!!!and for the Polar Bears!!!
I miss the good food,  good music,and downhome Southern Hospitality, that goes with it.Yes,Indeed!!! Iam very lonesome and homesick.

Well, sorry to hear that you are away from all your friends. I kinda feel the same way after I recently moved to Texas and left all my friends in Florida.

first watch ALL LSU games on tv.........stock up on french bread and root beer.......get some crawfish and make some gumbo........
watch more LSU games..........
sing hold that tiger while on the bus or at the office........
wear only purple and gold......
yell, "HOT BOUDAN AND COLD COOSH COOSH, COME ON TIGERS POOSH PUSSH PUSH!!" in church on Sunday morning cause you are still at the LSU game the night before.
put a bumper sticker on your car that says, "Vote for the crook" and
keep your pirogue in the living room"
They will run you outta there and you will land in the swamps with the Rouga ROUX!!!

Iam in SeaHawk,and Huskey Territory,and folks up here wouldn't know a crawfish,
from Tadpole ,Boy!!! I do!!! the way folks fix Gumbo up here is shameful,they don't put enough spice,
or kick in it to make a lick!!!! Now you see why i miss Louisiana.Trying to find friends, from down home, online is like
pulling teeth!!!! I could sure use some,if y'all don't mind.  Male or female is just dandy.Make me feel better, till i get back down.

Hope, I know what you mean about the Gumbo. I hadn't had any real gumbo since I moved away from Louisiana back in '94. In Florida, the make this watery soup that they refer to as 'gumbo'.. and the closest thing to a "Cajun" restaurant you'll ever find in the Fort Lauderdale area are these places in the mall food court that serve up this meat they call "Cajun food" but it looks and tastes more like Chinese food..

Hi!!!! CajunKaren!!! I see you in the forums,and i wish i could write to you,
I was in Carencro,back in 2002,and it was beautiful,infact i was staying in the EconomyINN Motel,i was down seeing my little
brother,in Opelousas Yummy!!!! I wish you could send me some of that good food,but i guess i got to wait til i come back home,in March, 
I mean i guess i got the music,up here, but on CD's,just makes me more Homesick i guess.GodWilling,things will workout.

if you are missing the food ~ what's keeping you from cooking it and maybe introduce you new neighbors to some good gumbo, jambalaya and shrimp creole. don't know how to cook? zatarains.com

This is first forum I looked at tonight & glad I did, I used to date a guy in Denham Springs,who is now married in Baton Rouge,only visited New Orleans once but La.stole my heart,stuck up here in N.Y. but I'm a southern girl at heart & I always wanted to visit Cajun Country,had a good friend from Lafeyette,who's now married in N.Y.
I too miss the friendly people,music,dancin,& food.
Luv yu guys& reading your posts make me even more homesick then watching The Big Easy.
