It seems that we all are out here to meet that someone special but you know if you don't show the courtsey to write back to someone maybe you deserve to be alone in this world. I know I personally have written to a few of you females but have gotton no response so whats the deal. Does everready or duracell have a better connection to you then maybe i ever could. If so well i guess you be better off let you rabbits keep going and going etc but if you do have time i'm all ears love to hear from you. I know i could give you more then some toy and know lot more fun and adventure in life especially if you like that for a lifetime. Thank you if you take the time to respond back to this.

this is a dating site. if someone isnt interested then they might think it is better to just not answer than try to come up with a reply. ive gotten replies that i didnt understand but alls fair in love and war lol

I agree that ppl should have the courtesy to at least get back to ya even if they are not interested, but they should be honest about it.

If someone writes to me that has actually read my profile, I will usually respond. Most of the time, however, I receive e-mails from guys who clearly cannot read the part that I am not interested in them. I have given up writing to all of these people.

WEll i really try to reply to everyone that writes me ..but i dont come on here a lot and it may be days before i can reply to some ones e mail ...matchdoctor does not let me know when i have mail for some reason..it used too...:-)
I think it is just plain rude not to at least write back and say ..sorry but i am just not interested ....but that does make a few mad...so is it really a good thing to do? Just not sure any more...

well a lot of folks, me included, don't answer the twits, spammer, and bots. I just block them. I don't answer people when they write me and obviously haven't read my profile. I just block them and igore their postings. I do have filters set to filter the chinese. african, and certain other selections, but still some slip thru.
I try to answer all the legitimate postings......
As for the bit about spelling out the whole word, some of what i do is just plain online habit. I use the letter u for you quite often, and other shorthand that have just become habit after several decades online. Similar to what the kids use now adays in texting. Thats where most of the shorthand u are used to using today started... things like LOL, ROTFL, L8R, etc.... in the old days we paid for online time by the minute, think of it as a taxi meter running, so we got on and off as quick as we could. it was all email in those days, no messenger services, or such. Granted now adays we use smilies for alot of them, I found that I use them quite a lot out of habit, and when I don't have them available, as I do in some software I use, I feel lost. Habits are hard to break, whether its shorthand on the net, cigarettes, or anything else. the idea of shorthand was to convey the message as quickly as poss and make it understood....

Well said dangar! Another reason I don't write everyone back is because I don't live on this site and only check it once or twice a day and if the person writing is horney, rude or just plain unobservant as in never ever read my profile, sorry about your luck. Also, if you give me your email address on that first correspondance, you won't be hearing from me. That's just me!

I make a point to reply to everyone that takes the effort to email me or send me a wink. Its the least I could do and I have made lots of great friends in just responding to people. just wanted to add my answer Have a great day all!!!

hmmm...maybe you would prefer a response with the greatest lie ever told in this day and age...and I do not mean just on dating sites...friends, relatives, businesses etc. have made this the #1 lie told...and that is..."I'll call you back..."

I wrote back and chatted on the phone, made a date but I had car trouble...and lost the numbers...now he probably thinks I'm just a liar and a tease...but that's not what I'm about. I am honest and was really looking forward in meeting.
