Police have found what they believe is Tara Grant's torso in the garage of the Grant home. Husband Stephen is being sought. He apparently feld the scene and may have killed himself sometime on the past few hours.
This really hits close to home because the places involved (Grant home and business) are literally only a few miles from where I live.

The big question is why it took them so long to search the home and not get this wrapped up earlier?
Just a real shame because two young kids will be without both parents now.

.....Btw, now I’m hearing from Stephen Grant’s lawyer that he feels the home search was unlawful. If he proves it in court, does that mean any evidence collected could be thrown out and a murderer set free????
 Better not!!! 
If Grant killed himself it won't matter, though.

i dont believe they would have difficulty proving it without that evidence...this guy was bound to have made to many mistakes to get away with this....and besides....do any of them really get away with it...in the end?

...and as far as the "shame for the children to be without both parents"...many children would be better off!

I meant that kids are always the final victims in cases like this. They'll be scarred for life, no matter what happens now.

yes...i agree motown....too bad people dont really stop and consider their children before they engage in stupidity such as this...or have affairs...drugs...etc....sad sad sad!

Earlier in the day, Grant's attorney had speculated that Grant killed himself.
But Hackel said Saturday night that authorities are convinced he’s still alive because Grant had spoken to his sister in the last few hours to ask about his children. Hackel said authorities have an idea of where Grant is, but declined to say anything further.
During the afternoon, Hackel said investigators discovered more body parts in northern Macomb County in addition to a torso found last night in the garage of the Grants’ Washington Township home. The additional body parts were found scattered and covered in snow in various locations on the outskirts of Stony Creek Metropark at Mt. Vernon, near Dequindre.
“I think this gives us the indication that he was trying to hide the parts,” Hackel said of Stephen Grant.
Stephen Grant’s lawyer, David Griem, had suspected that Grant killed himself.

C'mon now, don't you find it amazing that it took the officials this long to search his home when the rest of the public thought he was the number one suspect in the first place. I am with you Motown as far as it hitting home. I am origionally from the east side of the state and have some pretty strong ties in the area still. Really scary when you think about it. If he did kill himself, which I doubt, it won't be much of a loss. As far as the kids are concerned, life is not going to be easy for them and my heart goes out to them.

He is heading to jail as we speak!!!! Glad they caught him, what kind of person could kill and cut up their spouse, he is just sick and hope he gets what he deserves!

Stephen Grant is going to be someones bitch in prison. He's not going to last long there. We in Michigan are getting quite a reputation for being a dangerous place. many of my friends out of state refuse to come visit me!!! They all say that they think its too dangerous. I live in the southeastern country!!! Its such a shame that theres all of these bad things going on, we have such a nice state...

Genesis....your friends refusing to come visit you arent being very practical.....where are they from? mars? every state has its share of murders....its just a lack of high profile murders that makes them seem safer....wheres all the coverage of the dozen or so other murders in the tri county area that have occured in the time period they have been covering this one? you dont hear of them....maybe the victims were poor....maybe they were homeless....but victims just the same....this one was different....she was a beautiful woman....affluent....and therefor a headline grabber....sad? yes, but true.....we do live in a dangerous state.....but show me a safe one....its all in how you look at it....and while i'm at it....something else has been bothering me.....there is plenty of outrage about the loss of troops in this country...and i feel for those that have lost loved ones......where is the outrage in the fact that...since this war started more americans have been killed right here on american soil....than have been lost to our enemies on their ground! Think about this.....americans....killing americans at a greater rate than a full out conflict abroad! ...and no political outrage.....and worse yet....no call for an end to it from any political party....no street rallies....no demonstrations.......no end in sight...at least by mans hand.
