I'm sitting here bored, its Saturday night/Sunday morning...almost 1:00 AM. I have no new messages in my inbox. Wow, and to think I was planning on writing EVERY single person back who wrote me, too! Why is it that when Im super busy, I have 25 new emails, but when I'm bored, theres nothing?!? Also, nobody is calling me on the phone! And nobody is answering when I call them! Am I the only lifeless person here? Haha. Actually, I cant complain. I had a pretty good time Thursday night.

Anyway, after noticing that I had no new messages, I thought to myself, "Hey, I'll comment on some blogs, or postings!". But when I checked, there were the same 5 postings that nobody has commented on since the last time that I read them, so I decided that it was my duty to start a new one.

I have no idea what I'm getting at here, but I'm fricking bored! Whats there to do when you're at home, and you get sick of the computer?

I'm a goof, but oh well. Comment back if you want!

First - you need IMAGINATION.

Next - you need a HOBBY or an INTEREST.

the 2 will take you far.

If you have IMAGINATION you will never be bored.

Take Care

Wow, trout fishing! That was a rude reply! I'm not usually so rude, but I have to ask...is it due to your imagination, and your hobbies that stop you from posting a picture of yourself on your profile? I see guitars, ten pictures of a bicycle, one of a pair of legs wearing neon biker shorts RIDING the bicycle, a rabbit, a dog, freddy krueger, and other misc. photos. Whats up with that?

Also, for someone as creative as you are, and imaginative, who do you not have a paragraph describing yourself? I was only writing random thoughts down. I do not see why you felt the urge to insult me as you did.

I can type the most positive thing

and a NEGATIVE person cannot understand it.

Please do NOT think about what I really typed.

Continue to project your attitude on it and see it as negative.

Enjoy the life you have chosen.

Have Fun.

Its the way you use your CAPS that made me think that you were mocking me...but if it was meant to be positive, I apologize. I'm not a negative person.

Caps are also used for emphasis - so no problem.

I wish you well and remember - you can learn things
from people you never expect to learn from.

Take Care.

(btw - I worked in Flushing in the 80's)

Trout, it seemed a little grumpy to me too, but we're all freezing to death this weekend so i'm sure it's hard for the warmth we mean to project to come across in our posts.
anyways, do you ice fish too??
i'd like to see the nice pic of your legs again

I'm never grumpy - maybe I should learn to use underlines, eh?

I saw people ice fish when I was a kid. It didn't look a bit fun.
Winter is for X C skiing and snowshoeing - that way you are moving
and generate warmth.

That picture is still on my profile with the others. I do change the main
picture on a rotational basis, as some people have trouble navigating
profiles.

Have Fun.

It's always interesting how threads venture off into new and at times, somewhat odd directions. I post on a sports message board and rarely do I see a thread that stays on point without some meandering.

Too bad things were taken the wrong way in this one. Perhaps the intent was good, but the channel wasn't coming through too clearly. This is the difficult part to ascertain when responding to a thread or an email someone has sent. My rule of thumb generally speaking is that unless someone has intentionally slandered another, then take it with a grain of salt and give the benefit of the doubt. With that in mind I can see where ColeyRene got the wrong message as it might have come across roughly.

I do know and understand all too well is that the disembodied voice is a very scary thing. I learned this many years ago when I worked in a customer service center for a major auto manufacturer. Even the nicest people can be very mean when they're not standing face to face with you. On the net is can be even worse. Facial expressions and voice inflection matter. Since we have neither here then we must rely on the craft of our word and what command of the language we have to present things in an acceptable manner based on what we see they've presented in their profile. (The use of carefully placed smilies sometimes helps too. )

The troublesome part is when we encounter those that have offered a profile that is witty or perhaps a little sarcastic, and we try to reply in kind. That quite possibly is opening a can of worms... or for you TroutFishing, a wet fly since I'm sure you probably don't use worms when fishing. Just guessing though.

Anyway, I'm rambling because I'm a little bored right now too. I'd send you a message ColeyRene, but you say in your profile that you're looking for someone that's younger than me so I'll respect that as I always do with others on here. In the meantime I'll wait for the football games and tend to my crock-pot experiment. And I better plan on a dinner back-up just in case that ends up being akin to some sort of biohazardous mess unsuitable for any living thing to consume. (Unfortunately, that does happen on rare occasions. )

Thanks for taking this in a new direction.
Rambling IS a direction, I think, whether
it is on subject or not.

The old tired direction was getting annoying.
You know, the direction that what I wrote had
even a sliver of negativity. So far, I am the
only one that has given her some positive
suggestions of how to deal with boredom.
If you see anything negative in my first
post - it did not come from me.

Remember, a negative person can not
understand a positive statement.

I disagree with your little motto. I always look at things twice, and toss them around in my head trying to figure out the intent of a message before I comment back. I truely feelt like you were implying that I was a boring person, without interests or hobbies, and that I lacked imagination for even posting what I did. And thats not how I am. I am a very busy person, and have hobbies, interest, and imagination. Sorry again!

Whenever you attempt to read between the lines -
you are PROJECTING your own thinking patterns
into it, not mine.

I smell bait. I'm not biting.

Read what I typed - not what you THINK I meant.

Have Fun.

I can only assume that the highlighted comment in your unabridged quote as listed above refers to my earlier contribution and the non-highlighted remarks are intended for TroutFishing.

There are a number of rules we all live by, but some of the basic ones that an older and wiser person than I offered to me at one time were this: Don't take things personally. People usually act in their own best self interests first and foremost, and not against others. Don't make assumptions. Ask questions and communicate before deciding.

Maybe you're looking too far into things? Just saying, that's all.

And as an update for all to know as I'm sure you're hanging on the edge of your seats, the crock-pot thing I'm working on (slaving away over this actually ) is turning out pretty good from first samples. A little too much apple cider vinegar, but pretty good overall.

What did you make in your crock pot???? I made chicken noodle soup last weekend and yesterday I did a Beef Burgandy. I never used it much in the past but now I think I'll use it once a week. Next weekend...Minestroni (sp?).

Got any good recipes to share?

Just as a follow-up to the dinner thing... you didn't miss much.

I should have known better. Cabbage always makes me feel this way, but I thought I'd try it again given some health article I read about it's benefits. Right now I'm feeling a little That's what I get for experimenting. I'll do better next time.
