I've been a little bit absent from posting here in the forums for a while. Yeah, I pop in every now and then just to see if anything is going on, but rather quiet for the most part since I've been battling walking pneumonia for the better part of a month. Oh well.
Anyway, I have noticed that I've been getting a lot of filtered mail lately. (Not much mail that would be relevant...  ) Most of this stuff is coming from China. I was just wondering if anyone else has been experiencing the same or similar troubles.
(And yes, I have been reporting all of the emails and the profiles, just like the good guy that I am. After all, I do want to do my part to make this a better place you know.)
It's an open topic, not just about foreign spam emails. Feel free to discuss but please keep it on or near topic. Thanks in advance.

Yea Odysseus I have been getting the same spam from someone in China too!! I just reported them and went on from there!! But just as Gabrielle said if it wasn't for that spam I would be getting nothing at all.... kinda sad but just seem not many people are on here much!!

I had one a few days ago that registered as a woman and left me a spam email telling me how handsome of a man she thought i was.
I chuckled and then marked it as spam.
I mean, i know i'm a little bit of a tough girl, but LOL!
Why do they seem to be running rampant on this site? Ive never noticed a problem anywhere else. But, some of them are hilarious.
I like the ones that say that they live in (pick a state) and they are caucasian.
But when they spell it's "I wood like to git to no you more before we take our love to different level" You can actually picture the guy from nigeria typing this stuff.

I think that probably has more to do with the cheap language translation software they are using than their ability to spell and use proper grammar. That said, I know what you mean and I get a kick out of those too.

If any mail posts any type of email address, please click the report spam button, and let MD decide what they wish to do.
Most of these links are websites that will sell you address, and fill your regular email box with spam.
If you are never quite sure if they are a scammer, just send a wave to thier MD box, and see what happens.
I see some that say they live in NY NY and claim they are searching for someone within 50 miles of LA CA
And yes, they use a weak tranlationsite, then claim they speak English, all in hopes of finding some lonely man or woman who thinks this person is their long lost love, and might send them money.

(To answer someone's previous question): They use this site more than others probably because you can have an active account for free. Most other singles sites either charge a membership fee or limit you to one email before having to set up a paying account.

 I also have been getting spam in the inbox... as well as some really nasty message from people in other states all wanting to do some pretty strange things together.... I really have not had much luck on this site.... I guess that I just don't appeal to most people...
