Ok folks I'll try to get a thread going here. What do you think about Frank. My thoughts. Check his meds. I don't think the man is stable. I mean if the state attorney general called me in his office to say I was screwing up. I believe I'd gentle down just a little bit.

Well. my first impression of melton is that he does need a prozac saltlick.. but.. on further investigation.. I think he may have the right idea in some respects.
Lets think about this: The crack house that he supposedly ordered his "crew" of young men to destroy had been raided several times.. as I heard it there had been over 5 complaints of drugs being sold out of it within two months.. I think personally that if they are selling dope out of it.. the owner wont' take responsiblity for it.. then it should be destroyed.. that's just one less place that the dealers can't deal out of.
As for the strip clubs.. well hell.. every body screws up..

Guess I'll be blasted for putting in my two cents worth..but here goes anyways....I kinda like his style ...I mean you have a city totally over run with crime and getting worse all the time.So he used unorthodox methods...but he did more good than the others before him. Just my opinion....I try hard to not go to Jackson anyway...

ACTUALLY....U FOLKS EVER HEARD THE TERM "BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR"?? WELL THE FOLKS IN JACKSON WANTED IT CLEANED UP AND ELECTED THE MAYOR TO DO JUST THAT. SO HE'S DOING WHAT HE WAS ELECTED TO DO. GUESS HE'S DOING TOO GOOD OF A JOB FOR SOME FOLKS ...(LIKE THE CRIMINALS AND THEIR FAMILIES OR THOSE BEING PAYED OFF BY CRIMINALS) IF IT MEANS VIOLATING THE RIGHTS OF CRIMINALS...THEN I'M ALL FOR IT!! BESIDES THEY DON'T THINK TWICE ABOUT VIOLATING OUR RIGHTS NOW DO THEY...THEY SELL DRUGS, KILL FOR DRUGS, STEAL FOR DRUGS FROM HARD WORKING TAX PAYERS. I say let him clean up good there and then send him to Iraq. We need all the help we can get! On the other hand.... these folks in Jxn havn't had their 'day' in court so he can't be judge, jury and executioner... screw it - go get 'em Frank. It's good to see someone not afraid to get 'r done.

ok... youre talkin about a guy who was once a criminal himself ok... youre talkin about someone who already had charge against him before this... carrying guns into churches and schools i mean c'mon your a mayor not an FBI agent... if he wanted the place closed down he shouldnt have put matters into his hands hes not the law enforcement hes just a law maker... if youre gonna lcean up the city at least do it right... and his constant reference to it as a drug house yeah that was wrong and every interview he got told now not to keep refering it like that... and on national television he does this you know he has to be messed up in the head instead of jail he should be in whitfeild or something come on...
yeah thats what i have to say take it or hate it...

From what I have read in the papers and learned from my daughter who lives in Jackson, Mr. Melton has become what Wyatt Earp was to the old west. If I lived there he would have my vote.

You took the words right out of my mouth. We have to follow the Law, and He should to. What gets Me is, He had at least one of the thugs that swung a sledgehammer on that house, stand with him at his Press Conference the other day. What in the Devil is that about. Both of those boys standing there with him acting like Body Guards, are both criminals, and he has gotten both of them a job for the City... We are paying them with our Tax Dollars..
I am one of those that thought he would be good for us, I have changed My mind.
Most of the people that you find defending him, don't even live near the Ciy of Jackson.

He isn't just stepping on the rights of Criminals, He is acting like a King. You are right though, We in Jackson did want someone to stop Crime, but since he was elected, crime has increased. I am one of those people that are stuck here, and can't afford to get out. I'm stuck with what We got. When You have crimals standing beside You at a Press Conference, acting like Body Guards, which he did last week, We've all got a problem.
I know i sound angry, I'm not, I'm afraid. and it's just my opinion.

You got a wonderful Thread started, It has really got my blood presser up. I'm trying to stay calm though.
Notice that most of the folks that defend him, are not residence of Jackson. My feelins are the same as your.... Hate Him

I think Frank is doing the best he can with an intolerable situation. Do you realize there is at least one killing everyday in Jackson? I didn't even go to the last conference I had in Jackson. I would have been by myself and I didn't want to risk being there alone. Jackson has gotten awful! You can tell who is either involved in some sort of crime or payoff by who is supporting him and who is working against him. I live about 100 miles from Jackson and I see it from here. I appreciate him trying to clean up the City of Jackson so decent folks can visit with no fear of being mugged, raped, knifed, shot, or killed!

I'm sorry but I believe Franks doing the best his head will let him I mean c'mon, He takes this kid to a press conference for everyone to see. Here's what the Clarion Ledger reported on this poor misdirected youth. Charged with murder plead down to manslaughter. Armed robbery, a couple of counts of drug possesion, and most recently carjacking. Oh but that's right Frank held another press conference to say " He didn't do it  He explains the crime and the drug deal so well it makes you think he was there. I find it appalling that he would take the side of the dope dealers, and then paint this young lady as a drug user. And, he says that basically it is her fault for being caucasian and going to buy dope in the black neighborhoods. Not to mention all the oth BS he throws out to the press just to keep things stirred up.

Frank Meltdown is just trying to clean up the competition. I'm hoping having MacMillan as chief will clean up Melton! I live in the demilitarized zone and Melton only busts who doesn't work for him.
