hi , I was born in MS. .....watervally and have relatives scattered around still & some buried there too. its a beautiful state and the coast will rise from its problems

Howdy y'all. I'm from Texas (just moved here five weeks ago) and just looking to meet a few relatively nearby folks. I figure the Mississippi forum is as good a place as any.
As a newby to Texas, I find it absolutely hilarious that my state's so freakin' big that some people in Texas live further away from me than you guys do...lol. Well anyways, a friendly hello to you all!!

Oh well. If I can't be first, then I can be last....for a few moments anyway. At least until the next person adds his or her comments.
I'm a born-and-bred Mississippi woman, and the only complaints I have are the mosquitoes and humidity. Obviously not bad enough to leave permanently ( I've lived "around the world" as an adult and returned), and here I am planted.
A commentary on Mississippi women: Everywhere I've lived, people reminded me that Mississippi produces the most beautiful girls/women in the United States. And of course, I did what any self-respecting Southern Belle would do! I introduced those folks to the ole "drippin' with ch'am and ca'rizz'ma" Dixieland greeting, along with that low, slow, throaty southern drawl, and that little ol' bit of sweet, uplifting, harmless flirting.... eyelids half-lowered --- interspersed with innocent eye contact now and then. Well, I believe it just comes naturally to us "belles". And we don't get old. We get finer (and more well-tuned). Admit it fellows, you find it titillating, right?
