DR..
You love her but are not going to marry her? Not that it is any of my business...
but if you want closure you need to tell her you are not going to marry her if that is indeed what you are thinking , that would be the closure, maybe you need to be the one to do the closure if that is what you want...
If not, why not get married or ask her if she will settle for something less of a commitment..??? Just an opinion

Or more like don't leave me until I've found someone else or put into place the means to get along without you.
Probably a cynical attitude to take but it's important for self-preservation.
I think clinging to hope often increases suffering when things end.
I've seen really strong and determined people ruined by the fantasy of reconciliation when letting go would save their sanity.
You make your own closure. Don't wait for anyone else to make it for you.

It used to be very important to me. I always had to know why, as painful as that truth might be...I wanted to know the answer. But life is funny, and sometimes...oftentimes...we don't get the closure and the answers we want. So now I just pack it away in the suitcase and stow it in the overhead compartment. Sometimes I take it out, fluff it, have a good cry, and then fold it and put it back. But mostly I just move on.

best closure I know is...move on..don't look back...whoever left first, last, whatever...they are gone...so move on
