I have been alone for nearly 5 years, and for the most part Ive been pretty happy this way. I dont need a man to fulfill my life. Although I get lonely sometimes.... but it passes.

I am single only 9 months, but I love it so far. I don't know how I will feel in a few years though, I might miss the spooning

I've been single for about two years, and I kinda like it! After the first few months, you start looking for the good things about being single. For instance:
1. You don't cook or clean unless you damn well want to
2. You can come and go as you please
3. The television/dvd player (and the remotes) are all yours!
4. You can decorate your house however you want, without someone griping about it being "too girly" or "too purple" or too anything else
5. You can flirt with whomever you want, whenever you want
6. You can wear whatever you want, wherever you want to wear it
7. The toilet and the area around it stay clean for an amazingly long time
8. Nobody uses your razor and leaves chin hair in it
9. Related: you don't have to shave every day!
I can't think of number ten...

Pros and cons of single woman lifestyle?
Pros- not having to explain why you spent $300 on that black dress when you already have 2
-able to put ultra feminine bed sheets and fabrics without asking anyone elses' fashion tastes
-pets or no pets its all up to you
-other single men offer to help you with "guy stuff"
-never having to be shocked, depressed by a "sweetheart" leaving you for another woman
Cons
-no date when you need it sometimes
-laughing out loud at comedies alone
-no person to tell you why that character trait you have that you think makes you a wimp,,is what they find adorable
-no mate to discuss "eternity in love" with
-discovering the highest highs of the universe found through loving

 Being single does have its advantages..like...  the toilet seats always down..  You have full control of the remote..  etc;etc;

Just my 2cents, real guys could careless what a girl wears, be it pink PJs n fuzzy slippers, which can be HOT!!!! As long as it doesnt make the girl look like a skank, i seriously could care less about what a girl wears.

I've been single so long, I had forgotten all about the pee around the base of the toilet.
Thanks a lot, Danae. Now I have this visual that just won't go away.
I may stay single a leetle while longer now.

Pros..most of them have already been mentioned. Not having to answer to anyone is number one.
cons are that it gets lonely and even though I can do most of the stuff men do such as change oil or tires, household repairs etc.....It would still be nice to have someone else to do it for me for a change. I also miss the conversations that you can have with a partner that you don't have with anyone else......sighhh
and I miss the cuddling darn it....hard to live without someone to hug.

I think it depends onthe person you are.. I was married the first time for 8yrs, the second for 5. I love being married. I hate being a lone. I know that I will never be happy alone. I enjoy having a man in my life to spoil, love, wait on, massage, play with, talk with, laugh with and share my life with.
I left my first hubby due to violence in the marriage, my second hubby walked out on me three days before valentines day due to a medical condition that we were working on. It's been almost a year and I am having almost as hard a time now as I did when he left....I miss him terribly.
