It was real short and sweet and I know it's over...Can tell in his voice. I don't want to drag it out or be clingy....
Please reiterate it for me so I won't be stupid or forget?
He's GOOOOOOOOOOONE................................
Just how gone is he???? Help me out here, folks!

How about the chorus to Montgomery Gentry's hit, Gone?
Gone like a freight train
Gone like yesterday
Gone like a soldier in the civil war, bang bang
Gone like a '59 cadillac, like all the good things, that ain't never comin' back
She's gone, gone, gone
Gone, gone, gone, gone

He has physucally left but he is alive and well in your heart and soul. Its time to send him on a one way trip out of your heart/ soul and life. Take what you can and learn from it and give him a full discharge. You need to heal up so he is not "haunting" you... if only in your mind.
Lifes too short to have ghosts of men who live with in you. Set them free, in turn.... it will set you free as being a caretaker to all that takes a lot of work and serves no purpose to hang on to what has already removed themsleves from you.

hon........read that book "He's Just Not That Into You"...it's a life saver.....can't recall the author but it's still out there...also "Obsessive Love' by Susan Forward is an old classic that helps with this. Either way...complete abstinence from any contact whatsoever with him is the quickest way to getting over it....believe me...I know.

I have yet to find any who will stay long enough past all the sweet talk, compliment, and sharing a bit of themselves before they are off to another. So the question may be Were they ........ even really there to be able to be gone.?

Wonderful question painter.....i've often wondered the exact same thing...amazes me when they vanish in the 'beam me up Scottie' mode. ummmm, yeah perhaps things were just a bit superficial on their side of the equation. And then again......I'm made stronger for the experience...

Everybody's high on consolation
Everybody's trying to tell me
What is right for me, yeah
I need a drink and a quick decision
Now it's up to me, ooooh what will be
he's gone,
Oh, why
I better learn how to face it he's gone
Oh, why
I'd pay the devil to replace him

Good answer, Jester!
I have been over that guy for a while. Why don't ya'll save some for the next time I end it with someone. Won't be too long, never is. I'm gearing up to meet someone soon. Stay tuned. I have chronic mini-breakup disorder.

It's usually the every day nice guys that you see all the time, and we tend to overlook that are still there mostly.
