Ya know I've received some blow off lines in my day, but I think I prefer that to "the deadly silence". That is just darn aggrevating. Mostly I think it is insulting.

Furthermore, the blow off attitude while verbally saying they love you, pleast do keep calling/asking me to come see you, no nothing is wrong, etc. Now that is the coward personified! If anyone can dispute that that is a blow off, please inform me of why someone would behave like this! I would love to be proven wrong. lol

Keep on keepin' on y'all.

My on-off bf tells me "I love you but have been hurt so much in the past that I need time to heal." Needless to say he has remained "off" this time.

Tell him to shit or get off the pot. When he's off and on so should the benefits of being associated with one another. get it?

Thanks you all! :) You have no idea how hard I am laughing. I re-read the blow off lines and I am stunned! I actually had thought my situation had been unique,, different, that I was reading him wrong, that the reasons and excuses were maybe true. I know it isn't funy to grin at the hurt of others, but it sure helps to know I wasn't the only one down this path. Do ya suppose there is anyway of hooking these jokers up with one another???

Man, I think I am the king of getting blown off or flaked on. I've probably heard every lame excuse in the book. So I decided to tally up my top ten favorite lame excuses for flaking. Hope you guys get as much joy reading them as I did remembering all the dorks that used these lines.

10. I just remembered that I have an exam tomorrow.

9. I got a flat tire on the way to see you. It took me all day to fix it.

8. Oops, I double booked. Can you take a rain check?

7. My friend was suicidal last night, so I had to go to her house and was up all night talking her out of it.

6. I have the flu, a cold, a headache, and HPV right now and cannot make it.

5. I thought we said 7. Alternatively, I thought we said Thursday.

4. I'm just not into the outdoors (yet they love hunting, fishing, 4-wheeler riding, and being outside).

3. My ex just came back into the picture. We are getting married in a few weeks.

2. I have a feeling that I am going to fall in love with you if we see each other. I can't let that happen to me.

And now for my all-time favorite lame blow off...

1. I just need to spend more time with God today.

The ones used on me were

1) I love you but not like I should

2) My love for you isn't steamy enough to handle this relationship..and he poofed away bag and baggage never to be heard from again.

Yep the good old " It's me not you " routine....

I would just rather hear that there is not the right chemistry if I am being dumped. I am cool with that if we are in the early stages.

If we have been together a while, I want the truth even if it hurts.

Peace, Rosie

"I can't take the drama"

Funny thing is, it was HIS drama. Someone (female) that he knew kept calling me and telling me about his comings and goings, or quizzing me on why I didn't go to his house more. One night she called me and told me he wasn't working that he was at the bar and left with a woman. She sent me a video of it from her cell phone. When I asked him about it on his voice mail, I got no return call. So, I got angry and left another message saying I deserved an explanation. Then, after 2 weeks, he did call and deny it all and said that he couldn't take the drama. I put a block on my phone to stop this crazy woman from calling me via *67 and that was the end of it.

ROFLMAO at that one! Way to turn the tables on someone!

"Cough, cough . . .gaaak! Urrrrrrrp . ..GAAAAK! . . .SPLAT! That's it, I am outta here! I hope you and your cave dog are very happy . . .but all this rock is getting me down . . .and besides, you are too hairy for me!"

And, in another of life's absurd ironies . . .this ended up being the first reported human case of feline hairball syndrome . . .go figure.

Boy, did these lines remind me of past experiences. Once thought of writing a book titled, "Excuse Abuse" since I'd heard them all.

Recently got emailed, "it's not you it's me". Two weeks later I see a photo of him with his new younger girlfriend. Another one was, "what's the urgency to be in a relationship?" we were on a DATING site stating we wanted a serious relationship, lol. The following aren't from a relationship, but were used before our first date and we never ended up meeting. "I lost my wallet", "I work every night and weekends so have no time", got text messaged day before, "sorry, I have to work" and the best one...during our first phone conversation discussing where to meet, "hold on, running to bathroom, brb...click" thinking cell issue phoned him, got voice mail left message and also left IM, no response to either...
