now that warmer weather is approaching fast what are some of your plans going to include. i have some work to do on my trike before that time gets here. i have to get it ready for some shows that will be here before you know it. i plan on taking a trip to chicago to visit one of our chapters up that way n show em what a real trike looks like. and the food up there is fantastic, i have this little pizza place up there that i know that has the best pizza inthe whole country. itiallian sausage and beef an hot dogs i can hardly wait. i also plan on getting some fishing in up by macon mo at long branch get some of those killer cats. they get up to 50- 60 pounds. and i have cousins all over this country. i have been e mailing them to try to get them to come to our family reunion in june. the other thing we have is in dec we have our family christmas dinner. i really hate winter because there is not much to do that you can keep warm. i hate the cold. in the summer there are so manythings to do like go for a trike ride, i enjoy going out for a old fashioned horse drawed wagon ride too and did i mention how i love to go for a trike ride. i love to curse town in the warmer weather with my trike and talking to different people about my trike eveyone that sees it loves it. and if i could find a gal that would like to ride with me an do a little fishing i dont' know how i could be any happier.

there are tons of things to do for out of towners. all the caverns and you got silver dollar city, i don't know how good it is now but back in the 70's it was a great time. then you always got branson. they have so many different shows down there you couldn't cover in two weeks. then you have lake of the ozarks there are many things there to do. i like going to the country opra's that they have around missouri. i attend the one in macon often, my friend jimmy plays steel there at the opry its the 2nd and 4th saturday night each month. then we have a stock car track here in moberly thats all ways exciting. and there are many good resutrants to go to for a night out. in columbia they have outback and here in moberly which i love is el vacaro's a mex resturant. good prices and way too much food. when my brother comes here with his wife i always like to cook on the grill. i have a freezer full of meat both pork and beef. and at that time of the year there is usually a rodeo around someplace. there are many things to do i just hate doing these things by myself.

Summer plans . . . hmmmm, mine are to enjoy the warm weather by watching my two cousins play softball, play with my granddaughter outside for a change and who knows what else. I will take the days one at a time and do what I can when I can.

well i belong to brothers of the third wheel. i did belong to the gateway chapter, but its a 3 hour ride over there then if you ride all day then you got a 3 hour ride back and you just killed 14 to 16 hours pluss your beat. the closest chapter to me now is in rolla. thats about a 2 an half hour ride so not much difference. but sometimes the gateway chapter goes to hannabil or columbia or jeff city and i usually meet up with them there for a couple hours. then in june we have our international trike week at forsyth mo down by branson. thats a lot of fun and a lot of things to see and do.

Doc that is one BAD ASS ride! Enjoy that thing this summer. Have you ever thought about putting a windsheild and heater on it so you could ride year around? If not I would have to move south so I could go year around. Just a thought...

well its not too bad you get a little cross wind on your face but not much. you get some heat from the engine that comes back on ya. it would be too hard to handle on the ice and snow though. 410 horsepower it scoots pretty fast.

Mysterious, here's a thought for your family members:

A friend of mine and I went to Reno, NV one year by car,
All this took place over Memorial Day Weekend 2004: A 12 State excursion completed in 13 Days

We headed out I-80 after we dropped off my friend's kids in Illinois.
We spent one night in a hotel in Grand Rapids, NE;
We stopped in Cheyenne, WY to check out the sites, my friend that went with me, said she loved Wyoming and used to work at Yellowstone National Park in the summers when she was younger. I got a picture of a huge statue of Jesus along the side of the interstate when we were in Wyoming. The view is breathtaking.

That next night in Salt Lake City, in the car (didn't get caught, lol). At Salt Lake City, we were up and ready to go early enough to give ourselves our own tour of the Salt Lake Winter Olympic Game Site, hey the gates were open, we just helped ourselves! The drive through Utah, brought us the Salt Mines, there was a stop along the way, to 'read all about the Salt Mines' and to walk on it if you wanted to; it was very cold by that time of day so we rushed through it and took some pics instead.

We made it into Reno during the day, stayed at Circus Circus and went to the casinos and dinner with friends of ours from another message board. We had great times, great laughs, no one got lost, no one got mad at eachother, while we were all together, anyway LOL

We left Reno and friends of ours were going to Lake Tahoe for a night; we followed them. We got to Lake Tahoe, went on a little walk by ourselves, went out to the beach, took pics of the bluest lake I'd ever seen in my life, talked to a few other tourists and went to the shops, close by the hotel. We got to this stop light where it said, "State Line California", so my friend and I got to say, "We walked to California" and of course we went shopping! We're females after all!!

We watched movies in the hotel that night, got up and left to head home the next day; since we went out I-80 from Illinois, we decided to take a different route home and see more.

We drove down to Vegas, along the way, very hot, of course, we're in desert land, you know, we see a body of water along the side of the road and think we're hallucinating. It's Walker Lake, so we stopped for a few pics; we get on our way again and make it to Vegas, find a $30/night hotel so decide to stay for two nights. We didn't do the casinos there, we just mainly drove around to see all the lights. We had a blast, but the real time to go to Vegas is when you have tons more time and can check everything out, not just bits and pieces.

We were on the road two days later, our next stop The Grand Canyon.
We came along Hoover Dam and Bedrock, home of The Flintstones, no kidding; before we made it to the Grand Canyon. We took tons more pics and had way more fun than on any road trip I'd been on, in a long time. The Canyon was awesome, drove along the south rim; friends of ours were calling us "Thelma and Louise" (the movie) only at least we didn't kill anyone along the way, we almost got ticked off enough at eachother to realize the next trip we took together, we would fly! Less hassle, less to take along on the plane, less to pack, period.

We got through the Canyon and on our way again. We stopped for the night in Flagstaff, Arizona, to see another friend of that same message board; visited with her quite awhile, got up and on the road again the next day. We stopped for a night, in the car in Albuquerque, New Mexico; didn't get to see any hot air balloons in the air that time of the year.

From there we drove straight through Amarillo, Texas, we didn't even stop, I guess by that time, I was in 'home mode' get me out of this car, NOW! LOL
We made it to another friend's house in Sapulpa, Oklahoma where we stayed for two more nights before coming back to Missouri.

So all in all, these are the states we travelled in those 13 days:

Left Missouri, 3pm
to Illinois, one night
Nebraska, one night (I might have these two states switched)
through Iowa
Wyoming
to Utah, one night
to Nevada, two nights
California (if even for a few minutes)
to Arizona, one night
to New Mexico, one night
through Texas
and Oklahoma, two nights (I think)
back to Missouri

So it wasn't 13 days, but it sure felt like it; did you notice that we bypassed Kansas, I didn't want the boring straight farmlands to drive through! Instead I got the desert land and chilly, rainy straight road land with a passenger (my friend) who wasn't a good passenger for keeping the driver awake, she was always sleeping ; it's a wonder we literally didn't kill eachother on the way home LOL.

We got tons of pictures, had tons of laughs, and will definitely fly the next time!

hey Chuck, you need to get out more, can't be all stuffy and be inside all the time, 'live for today' is okay, but make some plans, man..they're for making memories or for breaking, postponing, cancelling, etc, etc. LOL

can't be serious all the time.

Hey Jellybean, I'm hoping to go to San Francisco in 2008
