through your friends
through co-workers
through your family...
that is, if you don't like going out to bars and taking a chance once in awhile.
My brother told me the other day, you can't find a guy/gal at a bar for a meaningful relationship, I call it hogwash, I believe he met his 2nd wife at a gas station while she was working, gee, is that really any better?
Basically, if you don't go out and have fun, you'll never meet anyone; and then after you do meet someone you stop going out, then that person may dump you anyway, just because they're bored.
Us women, need FUN, FUN and MORE FUN, period

well right or wrong about going to bars is not much of a future. then if you drink at the bar then drive home your looking for a dwi. = more problems. i don't mind going out to a bar once in a while but every weekend it gets booring fast. besides i don't want a drunk for a girl friend or someone that consumes constantly. once in a while is ok and i am not incinuating that we have a bunch of drunk women on here for those that do go out every weekend, thats your choice this is my choice. where to meet women stores or churches thats about the only place i go.

Go where the women are at.
Go to a park that has walking trails.
Go to the library or a museum.
Take a night or weekend class on cooking (at least you'll learn a skill).
Get involved in church activities. Many larger churches have singles groups and activities.
Find a local singles or meetup group. Go to meetup.com and there's a multitude of interests. Do you enjoy board games, politics or traveling? There's probably a meetup group in your area for it. The women always outnumber the men in any of these type of groups (unless it's a Dungeons and Dragons group - lol).
Take a dancing class or an exercise class.
Get out of the house and off of the computer. Don't be afraid to approach someone and just say hello. We do like to have fun but most importantly, most women want someone that's active beyond pushing a television remote control.

yea right i can see me stoping some gal on the walking trail in the park,  then i can see this gal calling 911.  then they will have me marked as a serial something. i can't dance so thats out. when you get as old as i am there are not too many women out there on the market. maybe i should revert to hilli's way of life and get me a few goats. i had sex with a old goat one time but then my wife filed for a divorce.

Oh I agree ya see some gal ya like and start to get friendly and they go off the wall like "omg he is speaking to me I better run and call the stalker police" and they give you that weird look and such...bleah any of you guys wanna start a monostary?

This has been the question that the whole human race has been trying to answer for many many years...
But where to meet a person is about as good as how to meet a person, if you come off as rude and pushy , people tend to stay away from you. when meeting people or passing people be friendly smile and say hi, you never know when this may lead to a person who you want to get to know.
I see that alot of people say stay away from the bars. I will have to somewhat disagree with this, because not all people who go to bars are drinkers or some sort of bad seed.. I, myself, go to bars with my friends, but I am not a drinker, or a smoker, I go there to be with my friends, I am not there looking to get a quick lay or anything like that. you can meet people at bars, but it does not mean that they are some sort of bad person.
Hey if you have a pet, and there are pet parks in the area where you are at, then start taking your pet to the park, start talking to the person and if they are single then you can then ask them out
But the main thing is get to know the person inside and out before moving on to a more serious relationship when you do find the person you want to get serious about. know what they think, how they think, what the likes and dislikes are. and above all BE HONEST!

yea I still tell them, but then I'm usually walking by and laughing, because I can't believe I just said, 'hey you're really cute/handsome/hot' to them 
it's not your fault you don't know they're married or seeing someone.
