i would like to know why its so hard to find someone to at least date once in a while. it seems like the older you get the women just disapear. i don't do the bars so its kinda hard to meet women. i need a gal to ride my trike with me this summer.

I've just come to the conclusion of stop looking and do my own thing in life one day at a time and God will bring somebody my way when he is ready.Ya it gets lonely but that is life and what do ya do?? Ya dammed if ya do and ya dammed if ya don't so ya just might as well let it ride and it all comes out in the wash.

At your age especialy, I would suggest frequenting some swap meets instead of bars. They make for a more comfortable environment to strike up a conversation with a total stranger. And lots of good down to earth people there.

swap meet? lets see now that is where a guy takes a gal he is tired of to swap her for someone else. well trouble with that is i don't have anything or anyone to swap for. thats the whole point of finding someone. if i do find someone i'll keep her not swap her off.

Doc, ever tried a Parents Without Partners Dance? Normally there is no alcohol, just lots of dancing. Great way to meet people. There will be picnics, ball games, etc. starting up soon, give those a try as well. And, car shows . . . . every woman likes a well dressed man and a neat car! Only difference is, you have a trike. You've got something to catch their eye.
Just suggestions. I just Thank GOD every day I dance. I have met some wonderful people and have lots of friends. Otherwise, I'd be asking the same question, Doc. Where do you go to meet people, besides bars? However, since I dance in bars I've had no problem. Some of those meetings have not been good, such as some guy grabbing my hiney, thinking he owned me. But being a regular where I dance, MOST men know you don't mess with me.

well lacy i don't go to the bars very often maybe 1 or 2 times a year. and usually its with a chat party. so thats a dead end. i go to car shows but there are mostly younger women there. you don't find too many 55 or 60 year old women at those things. i have thought about selling my house and moving into one of those retirement homes there i could find a 80 year old lady with a walker then i know i could keep up.  i'll put it to you like this i am 60 but i have the mind of a 20 year old. i don't have a problem with a 60 year old woman but he needs to tent that hair and toss the cain if she is going to be traveling with me. i am somewhat handicaped, i can't walk far nor stand long but i try to get around as much as possable. no grass grows under my feet or tires as far as that goes.

well i think that the older you get there are more people married or with someone. or completly turned off by the opposite sex because of getting screwed over. and mysterious i dont' have a problem with that just say when and where. if you want to come over this way we got some great resutrants. doc

No, a swap meet is where you take your old cock and swap him for a new rooster. Most ruralish areas have various and assorted swap meets, and poultry meets especialy are catching on.

Truth is the older women get the more independant we get. I've seen it with all my mother's friends. They reach a point where they say, "What the hell do I need a man for anyway?" So there really is a smaller pool as you get older.
When I was divorced the second time at 35, there were bookoo single available guys. I dated them as many as three at a time. But after my third divorce and now at 41?....Well lets see...I had a date New Years Eve....Labor Day....and before that I broke up with a guy June 2006. I haven't been in a remotely serious relationship since 2004. The pickins are just slim.
