ok things can be over done. i have a tattoo its my name on my uper right arm. it was done in 1966. i would like to have some more done but its just too expencive anymore. there is this lady about 60 years old that works in a resturant in town. not a bad looking lady but again she went over board with this thing. she has a dolphin tattooed on her ear lobe. her whole neck is covered with tattoo work. she has tear drops tattooed by her eyes. she has them on her arms and i don't know about the rest of her body. i think it looks tacky. man or woman. now a nice butterfly on the ancle is cute and there are other tatts like a tribal on the small of a womans back that looks tastefull. this one gal had mom tattooed on her ancle. i thought it was strange till she explained it to me. she said when you get her in the right position it says WOW. who has tattooes and what are they. doc

Never got a tattoo. I was the only guy in my squadron in the Navy that didn't have one. My buds got me drunk one night and tried to get me to a tattoo parlor in San Diego. I almost got an Anhueser-Busch A with the eagle through it, but came to my senses. Now that I know that tattoos are interference fields which can block nerve and energy flows to other parts of the body and wreak havoc on organs and glands, I'm glad I didn't get one. I agree though, that certain tatts on women can look good in the right spots. If others want them, that's their business. Not for me though.

yup, I got one about 4 yrs ago, a rose on my back left shoulder, no one knows its there unless I tell them or they happen to see me naked lol
Don't see anything wrong w/them but I agree some do go over board w/them. But its like everything else, theres moderation and theres over board.

Ok.. so I know I don't post on here often. But I had to be the first girl to say Yes, I have a tattoo.. Actually I have 2. (seems there is a sort of addictive quality to them that if you have one, you start lusting for a second).
My first is on my left chest/ upper breast. After having this location I do not suggest it to any gal. It's a peace sign that is colored in rainbow, to symbolize the peace I wish for my gay friends. However, when my breast isn't supported in a bra, it becomes elongated, plus depending on what I wear, I don't always want it showing.
My second is on my left ankle. I got it when I was in NYC visiting a guy I dated back then. At first I said "lets get a tattoo" as a joke because we were walking past a tattoo parlor. But then he took me a few blocks away where he knew the quality of the artists. We searched on multiple boards of tattoos and found one we liked, except we wanted the ends rotated, and a couple other small things changed. It's mostly black vinelike swirls around my ankle, with adorning hearts on the inner ankle and roses on the outer ankle. I can still see the quality more than 5 years later... like the highlighting orange in the hearts and the yellow highlights in the roses. It's definately my favorite. And the sign at the tattoo parlor that day is true. It's better than jewlery because no one can steal it.
Now I have found out one of my best friends is considering getting a tribal tattoo on her lower back, and we're trying to fit into her bachlorette party to get a henna tattoo for her to try out.

The tear drop at the corner of the eye is a traditional prison tattoo. The original meaning was that you had murdered someone. Now they get them to represent a loved one of their's dieing while they were locked up. I mean like, while Joe is locked up his best friend dies and so does his sister, so Joe has two teardrop tattoos.
I just got my first ink at 41! It's a skull and tribal about six inches long and two tall, across my shoulders just under my neck. Reminds me I need to get a pic of it on my profile here.
Ya they are pricey these days, but it's because of all the sterilization (disposibles and autoclaves) so well worth it. I paid $100 to have someone torture me for over an hour. And I'll do it again!

**raises hand shyly** Another female with a tattoo. Mine is completely hidden, unless I choose to show someone. I got it as a marking of my freedom from my Ex, its a cross with a rose in the middle.

as an ex-corrections officer...the teardrop suggests each time the person "fell"...the size and whether the drop is filled in all represent different things
