definitely up for a warmer weather gathering, I know the spring is all tied up for me, my weekends are shot all the way through first weekend in June!
If we do a gathering, are we allowed to bring along the people we're currently dating?

well what i planned on last year was not a hook up deal just to meet the people on here etc. something to just have fun and a good time to remember. i was going to let people set up tents or trailers i was going to furnish all the meat and it seemed like most was very interested and i asked for a responce of who was comming and i think one replied so i called it off. we was going to have a hay ride with real horses and a bunch of stuff but oh well. but i am all for a gathering and i thought that it woudl be good to have it here in central mo that way it woudl be equal distance for east west etc.

I'm currently working on putting together singles events for the whole summer. Like doc had in mind, not a hook-up thing, just fun get togethers for singles.
It started on POF when a guy posted a forum about having a Spfld POF meet. Well turned out it was just a marketing plan he had to fiil the seats in someone's bar. But it got me to thinking about how many singles I know all over the net and in real life....and then how many they know etc.
Long story short, I have set up a page on myspace as a central location for information. I also have a hotmail addy set up just for the purpose of sending out e-mails to everyone (even if they don't want to be on myspace) to send batch invites to events.
The plan is to have at least one event each month all summer at least. Pic nics, bar-b-qs, float trips, go to the lake, karaoke and other bar meet-ups....something for everyone.
I don't think we're suppose to put e-mail addys or links here, so anyone interested message me privately.

well that is fine and dandy with me but i would rather do something other than go hang out at some bar. i still like the idea of a cook out and a hay ride or maybe going to the stock car races. maybe a bike/trike ride if enough of us can get together. the weather is getting nicer now starting this week so lets get some kind of plan going. my property is still available if you want to have it here but i am going to have to have comitments before i say ok. i am not going through this thing like i did last year. it can be a good thing with a lot of fun but people have to commit to making a attendance to make it happen. ok so now we have heard the talk lets see who is wanting to do something like this and come up with some dates. i am all for it.

Your thing sounds great too. Just waaaaay tooooo far for me and my gas sucking SUV.

gas sucking suv. well if you can't aford to drive 160 miles your in very bad shape. but at least you get to look cool in your suv. cant go anyplace but you look cool sitting on the street corner sitting there in your ever so cool suv. sarry i just can't understand that at all.

Dude, when I bought then thing I had 30 acres 40 miles from anywhere with a mile of driveway all uphill. I bought an SUV because I needed one. Then I got stuck with the damn thing when gas went up cause no one is going to buy a rusted up hill climber that sucks gas like there's no tomorrow...
(Crotchety old fart just still has a stick up his butt cause I said "at your age")
which is why I'm bustin my ass getting this Harley back together, so I can aford to drive.
PS: It would cost me about $75 in gas to go that distance. For the same money I can have a hell of a good time right here.

my my my, i could get real cranky right about now but i figured why waste my time on someone that don't even have a clue about my life or me in general. and at my age, well i am 60 and proud of it. i have been to far more places than you will ever dream of being and have done so much more than you will ever have opportunity of doing. in short you don't know one thing about me except what you might read, so what you say means nothing to me at all. i am not going to belittle you and say things about you that is true. for there is no need of that yet. so i suggest you just cary on your merry little way in your own little world of make believe. and remember if your a good girl and keep your nose clean you might live to be my age or older.

well i can take only so much but i was waiting for a nasty reply from her then i was going to let her have it with both barrels. as far as the american chopper i have a trike that is a odisey. a few almost like it but none like it. i have a pic on my profile of it. 410 rompin stompin ponies makes her go round and round. its a real hoot. check her out. i am ready to do this get together thing so start giving suggestions etc. doc

My month of May is shot already!
Going to Florida May 17-22, working two days that week
Going to Memphis, TN over Memorial Day weekend :)
The very first weekend in June I have a wedding to go to in Southeast Missouri.
May 5 is Cindo de Mayo, and I'd like to do some stuff in STL that weekend since I'm up here and doing stuff.
The following weekend is Mother's Day..yep, I'm a busy lady
