Since we're talking bout Catch an Release, and Dating, I thought I'd toss this out here.
Other night, it was suggested that I pay for a round trip ticket for a online friend to visit me. I'm hesitant for several reasons. But, one thing that came to mind was..... Where does the line end for paying for companionship? Hell, i do that now with platonic friends, here locally. Paying for dinner just to hava night out, an BS. To hear a womans view for a change. (my goats arent very verbal)
So If I was to agree on this trip, it would be a good chance for a "catch an release" type of deal. Unless we hit it off really well. fifty-fifty chance I spose.
After writin this out, I think the point im gettin at is... There peers to be a big line tween being asked to pay for sumpthin, an offering to pay for sumpthin.

Humm... sticky question there. I've always paid my own way, no money, no trip.
I guess another way to see it is, who suggested the trip? How badly do u want to visit w/each other? another option... pay half? sheshhhhhhhh don't know truthfully.

hummm good question.. Usually when I visit long distant friends, I pay my own way. IF someone comes and drives me, I pay for their time and gas. I would think that if you offered to pay for the trip...well... thats a fine line and between you and the lady :). I would hope that the visit/fun/ laughter and whatever else accured, out weighs the who paid for what. and as simply said...how badly do you 2 want see each other? Theres lots of details in there... hehehehe Hugs ol hill havent heard from u in a while...

With friends, I've been to a few trout farms. You can ring up fifty bucks really fast. But they are cleaned, on ice, no licenses needed and the tackle and bait are provided....Boddy-Boom Boddy-Bing..
Outfit 3 guys, rent a boat, life jackets, tetanus shot, licenses, etc,etc and ect. Did I say etc ? .$ 900.oo
Paying to fish / with a guarentee = priceless
To even out the compensation, you can always use help, in putting up some ricks of winter wood. 50 /50 that's pretty good odds HB... Good luck with it.

Well Hili I would think that whomever suggested the trip/get together.. but then........... In my case, even if the man suggested the trip I wouldn't feel right letting him pay for it.
I know what you mean about the goats not being very verbal. The only thing mine says is MAAAAAAAAW! and I keep telling the dumb goat I'm not her MAAAAAAAAAAW! but she just doesn't listen.
sorry I wasn't much help.

I just got home an one of the goats was hung in a fence panel. Hadda cut the dang panel to get her out. (No, I didnt take advantage of her either)
I found a tractor kinda like I been lookin for. I think I'm gonna try ta buy the tractor instead of payin for a trip. Hopefully it'll be cheaper in the long run.
But it wont keep ya warm at night, you say? The heck it wont! It can haul more wood than the average wimmin 'round here can.
Who knows, meybe I can introduce my goats to Misty's goats sumtime.
Oh an I didnt suggest the aforementioned trip, either. Just came up in conversation.

Hey Hilli!! Sounds like this lady sort of put you on the spot to me. I'm with Lindy, I almost always pay my way, unless the man beats me to it. Such as pay my dinner bill before I get done.
I would NEVER ask or even suggest a man to pay for a trip to see him. Two things come to mind here. One, she wants to see how bad you want to see her, or if you do it once she will want it time and time again. I prefer to think the latter as I have seen this before with a friend online. Basically, she wanted to come to America and any chance she got for him to pay for the trip, she was here. He wanted to marry her, but oh no, she never did that. Unfortunately, my friend, passed away. Sad thing was he loved her dearly even though we all tried to tell him what she was doing.
In my opinion, just asking another person to do that sort of thing sends up a red flag to me. I get enough red flags without that crap too for what my opinion is worth. I'm with Lindy's point of view! Hey, Lindy, good to see you here again.

This is one area that the girls have us beat, 'womans intuition'. And all I hear from their comments is, danger. And you've as much as said the whole thing was a little fishy.
Tell the chick you named the tractor after her. And you'll teach her how to drive it,if and when she gets here on her own..Good luck with that.

There'll be no namin a tractor after her. There was conflicting coversations with the tractor feller, much as there was with the gal from afar.
Red flags are red flags. No matter where ya find em.

O'brother, what a twist. This story is taking on the proportions of a TV soap. Sounds like the "tractor feller" might get the girl, and your goats escape through a hole in the fence. What happened to the 50 /50 odds. We need Doc and Citi in here for advice or a surprise ending... Is there any way to rent a car if a person doesn't have a credit card . Act of Congress or what?

Not to worry, Rowrus. Short ran TV series. Tractor feller has his own gal. An in the long run, I saved several dollars. Bought me a couple more goats instead. So a bargain was to be had in the middle of all the chaos. lol
An yeah, you can rent a car without a credit card. I have done so.
Gotta call earlier that said the fish were biting. I went an fed the fish. Didnt catch nuttin myself. But what could be better than a fire on the bank an good friends.
