Posts: 831 christmas time for me is kind of sad and depressing becuase i don't have any one to get things for at this special time of year but i get through it ok. i just buy myself a lot of stuff to make up for it. ha ha but i hope everyone has a great christmas and a happy new year.

Posts: 414 I'm adopting a few folks this year. One is a girl at work that has had a rough go of it all her life. Me an another lady at work is gonna get her sumpthin that will last her a long time. I know her history an I'd be surprised if she ever got anything worth a hoot.

Another family I know, has just been stuck inna hard spot. They never ask for anything from anyone So they aint yer normal welfare folks. I think I can brighten em up a bit.

Beats havin folks that expect stuff.

To me this will be a good Christmas.

Posts: 140 my Famly and I usually make food baskets with toys (if they have kids) and drop them off on the porch and run like crazy...for people we know who are in need. It does the heart good to see their faces when they see the packages. We also volenteer at the soup kitchens . Its sad that many folk have forgotten how to give to others. My family and I may be poor too but we always manage to help others. Not just during this holiday season but year round.

Christmas is my favorite time, not for the receiving, but for the giving. GOD BLESS the folks that think of others.
