HI EVERYBODY ! I AM NEW So PLEASE BE EVER SO KIND WHEN I MISSPELL A WORD.. I have read some of the other forums and they walked all over peoples poor hearts. Spelling has nothing to do with the kindness of the heart.

Welcome-and for the record: I only tear someone a new opening for misspellings if the misspeller is one to act like they're smarter than everyone else...then, I figure they stepped in it; they deserve a stinky foot...

well welcome snow cone. the way i see it i am not in school and i don't have to make capitols if i don't want to and i can misspell as much as i do and if who ever don't like it they can just pucker up and kiss one of hilli's goats.

I forgot to add something.....I never run out of words....sorry  but I sure would like feed back on your thoughts. I just read on another forum ....not this one of course  ...A woman said " I feel insulted when a man writes to me and can't spell" (NO wonder she is on all the dateing sites  She probably tells him how to put his pants on............OH so sorry.........did I say that??? Anyways the question is DOES spelling have anything to do with intellligence????  Marti

Well Scone, I do not like the "smoking makes you look macho" rational that wall street advertising spoon feeds the American public. So I'm not buying into your Intelligence and spelling theory anymore than a sloppy house means a creative mind. It just means we are not motivated or just to lazy to clean it up. In this day of spell checkers it's easy. Adding a little punctuation is just polite.
Calling some one out, rag...rag..rag on their mis-spelling, implying non intelligence is a no no and very impolite.
But like I told doc, " I think you have great talent. We all have our rough spots and edges. For some, it's spelling for others it's grammar or punctuation. I'm weak in all.
I know you would not think about showing your trike with unpolished chrome or a piece of manure on the seat.
Why you throw away your great thoughts and wit with such abandon to its final presentation is a loss to all."
That's my story and I'm sticking to it. I'm with HB.... post away..

I don't know what you are fishing for ? But, if Marti is short for Martini, maybe sheee drinks and slurrs 'er spelling.... But since pretty / illiterate are the only words misspelled it might be a fraudian slip ? I can't comment on something I haven't seen, so the body thing is mute.. So the only thing left is drugs, what does the school of hard knocks tell you ? You did say " answer this " right?
It sounds like you have a kind heart  .

Thanks for your reply.....what I was looking for (to answer your question) is how others truley feel , especially men, about emails that are misspelled.This is due to all the personals that some of us belong to. It is just one woman that had a question .....sence all who have answered so far are men.......come on girls what do you think.....Oh, I appreciate honesty. I am sweet but I am persistent and onery!

Scone , I know people, that when asked to help paint, just do a terrible job.. Spill,
spatter, and slop paint everywhere. They don't want to paint and they don't want you to ask ever again..

Don't think I'm being a smart-Alecky, all I did was run it trough a spell checker. That's one of the advantages of the computer..
Why don't you ask, WHY people drive 100 more miles when the oil light comes on OR why they keep going on a low tire or leave kids in a parked car with the windows up in August. ? Drive with their lights on bright, turn without signals, pour grease down drains, the Daah list is endless.
I'm a poor speller, that's why I use a spell checker. Your profile photo wasn't taken when you first got up. First you fixed hair, clean white shirt,etc. Why ? to make a better presentation.. Why don't you want to use a spell checker ??

By the way why don't you post a real pic. instead of the one you have. In my opinion whoever painted it should seek out a REAL artist to get some pointers. Isn't it grand to pass judgment Marti

The one where your every word is correct and grammar is pretty good if not perfect.
Your lead statement : Compromise is a must in any relationship -- along with honesty......See that confuses me ,that honesty part , because when you come out on Match doctor you take on this : I ain't old, I is new and I does chew.and can't spell..type of presentation.

Why don't you WANT TO use a spell checker ?... and all of a sudden I'm accused of being lord and master of the form.... NOR did I pass any judgment , I just asked a question ( in answer to your question). Show me in my statement where ...I tried to intimidate you. I'll be the first to apologize. I've looked I can't find it.. so that mans to me you are screaming a FALSE intimidation. I feel lucky not to be accused of hollering and theoretic threating. About my primary photo, I rotate it with others posted on my profile I have 3 or 4 ,you have 2. Your comment is my first negative ... the other 20 or so comments seemed to like it, and found it a refreshing change. The artist ( my mother) hung up her brushes years ago and was quite an accomplished seascape landscape and floral artist. In her time quite the rave.. She managed to coax out that pastel with arthritic fingers in her late 80's.
Not bad for an old broad ,I told her . She just winked and smiled.
