I am getting atleast three emails everyday, and everyone of them is trying to get me to contact them through yahoo email in thier very first email. Is someone fishing for email addys a constant problem on this site, or is it just me?

I don't know. I don't get that many a day, but I do get them, here and on AMD. It certainly sounds like they might be fishing. I even got an e-mail from someone who wanted me to cut and paste a URL from their e-mail so I could see a video of them. Duh! I don't THINK so!  I don't understand why people just can't communicate through e-mails here, and then switch it up if they feel comfortable enough to give out their e-mail addresses. I'll either reply back I'm not interested, or not reply at all, and then delete, delete, delete! A lot of times, I'll get an e-mail like that, and then go back later and find they've been deleted for spamming or not following the rules.

I've been told that AX cards on the street are worth 200.oo .. Live e-mail address 10.oo ..
I never..did I say never... fill out any contest or win a computer forms, and find your old classmates, is the worst for getting you listed on the spam lists.. I'm contemplating avoiding Google searches and already try to avoid doing business with it's advertising clients..
Then some skirt and her 2 children get on the computer for a rainy day afternoon. Where is the lightning strike when you need it..
Who spilled all this sugar ? Wasn't me, don't use the stuff.. lol..Isn't life a hoot.

if ya want to know how truly bad the problem is, consider this:
my profile says i'm here for the blogs...vitals are listed-eyes, hair, etc, but it does not say anything more...no pics.....(i'm not really expecting to meet someone special, although that would be kinda' nice)...
how is it, based on that sketchy info, i have received several letters saying how interesting i sound, blah, blah, blah....huh?!?....oh wait, i know, they must be psychic and are able to discern how interesting i must be based on my username....not....
they always have an e-address i should contact so we can get to know each other and exchange pics....
so yeah, fishing for addresses does seem to be a problem on this site....but fortunately they do have the block feature and have the link to report it very handy in relation to the mail....
i was sure hoping that my first post in the MO forum would be more interesting than this........oh well, gotta' start somewhere.........

Just hit the "abuse" button for anything asking or tellin their address.
Or tell em yer a poor goat herder lookin for someone to milk em day and night.
And they'll go away.

normally i just delete them but sometimes ill reply with: you can chat me here on this site just fine thankyou very much. So far (knock on wood) I havent had any replies LMAO

doesn't matter to me, I frequently give my email or yahoo IM out because I'm on there and rarely on here, Not all are phishing, I just have more friends on yahoo. You can usually spot a phisher, spammer or robot; I wouldn't discount them all!
