if i was younger there would be a lot more women available and its all there just for the taking. and easy picking too. what i mean by that is that i have a few questions on my mind. when a guy goes out they don't care what they ware nor do they care how they look. when i was a younger man i wanted to see how nice i could look that would increase my chances of getting a good lookin gal for my next date. and i still like to dress nice when i go out. now days people are just too lazy. i have thinks that i like and really have to have in my life. like something to eat and a roof over my head and it don't hurt to have a couple $ in your pocket. the younger generation is what i call lazy they want everything handed to them on a silver platter. guys don't know how to treat a woman like a lady. opening doors sending flowers and cards things like that. its like they are uninterested in what the lady wants or whats going to make her day all they are concerned about is how is she going to make his day? not all guys are like that but i'd say 80% are. tell me ladies what do you think about all this??

Doc, don't think its just a male gender type thing, there are females out there too that aren't really concerned about anyone but themselves.
I think a lot of it has to do w/how your brought up, older generations appreciate the opening doors, flowers, cards and stuff, younger ones think its a waste of time and money to go that extra step. I have a teen boy and girl, I've watched them in their so called relationships and it makes me wonder where I went wrong, cause I know I wasn't raised like that.

Doc, today's generation . .. there are very few that would even 'think' of opening a door, sending flowers, taking them out to a nice dining place, doing really special things for their lady. I have dated only 3 men in my lifetime that are what I would call thoughtful men in this area. Wasn't my ex either! One gentleman bought me flowers often, just because, always opened any door, including car doors. We were togther 6 yrs, long story as to what caused us to split. Another didn't send flowers but always opened doors and took me to nice places to eat. The third, always dressed/dresses sharp (presses his shirts and creases his jeans), never sent me flowers, but we went out to eat and he opened doors. The rest of the guys weren't into this at all, that's why it didn't work out. I won't date any man that doesn't open doors and dress neatly. Just my preference and it's what gets my attention.

Now, I will say, when they open the door for me on a car, I almost always reach over and unlock the door for them, say thank you, please, your welcome to show my appreciation for what they do.

I do agree, a sharp dressed man is one I notice in a crowd. Doesn't have to be in a suit, just well pressed and hair nicely combed, not flopped every where. Ahh, the days of the gentlman are all but gone. Too bad, those were the days.

Ok, I'll get down off the soap box now, this just got my attention.

very good. and lacy thats great that you will not go out with a guy if he isn't just so so. if more women was like that i bet you'd see the guys spiffing up a tad bit.
