i drive a old heavy duty dodge 4x4 truck, that i pull my fishin boat with,what i consider a mans vehicle. but because of gas i bought a small car for driving to work,and in case i want to meet a girl 50 or more miles away, and its a mercedes. so a girl i know tells me thats a chick magnet. do girls really give a rip what kind of car a guy has??

I don't as long as it runs and gets us where we're going safely. How often does a girl see your car before she sees you or talks to you? If she says she likes you before seeing your car but REALLY likes you after seeing it, would you want her anyway? Never mind, don't answer that..lol.

ya, i laughed when she told me that,,and to me, its just a little car, better on gas than the truck.and i didnt pick the car, it was just available to me so i got it, hoping to save some money. but i had to ask, just to see what some girls thought about it.

A girl has to be fairly shallow to judge a man on his car. I get excited when I meet guys that actually have transportation of their own and do not expect me to put on the cabbie hat...GRRRR

Yes, 6, It is BAD! I didn't realize so many grown men do not have a car, I have not been without one since before I was old enough to have my license. Good thing I refuse to just take whatever I can get...LOL!

ouchhhh,,,that really hurt. hey, it was a grown lady i know that works for lawyers that told me that, and they all drive benzs,,,so i only threw the question out to see if anyone agreed with her. and these forums are only for fun, i didnt expect hate mail!!!! geez

So I have been thinking about this off and on today. I guess a car can be a chick magnet. I realized when driving down the road I tend to notice the car/truck before I look at the driver. I would never base dating someone on their ride, but I am guilty of ogling the good looking ones in nice vehicle. I may even speed up a bit for a second look LOL!

Nah, I'm in Missouri. Rural Missouri at that and I don't socialize in Mercedes circles so I probably wouldn't even recognize one if I saw it. I really don't pay much attention in traffic either. It's not like some good looking guy is gonna pull over and talk. Now if I'm on the motorcycle, that's a different story. If I'm at a gas station in the car, I might get a nod. But if I'm fueling up the bike, some stranger always speaks.

Heheehheee  Seeing all this about the car being a magnet..I couldnt help but laugh......Mature women dont look at what a man has...Its what is in his heart that counts and the personality.....but ya for one to think a mans financialy secure because he has a car....thats just not a way to see it at all.....Because usually it just means they are in debt the same that I am regardless of what kind of debt....lol I know I am in debt everytime I turn around.....Cant seem to find my way out for some reason.  lol And uhhhh Im from Missouri also...So do I count?
