And let's not forget...some people who put a profile on a dating site aren't always telling the truth. You have to be just as cautious on dating sites as you would meeting someone at a club or bar...

Hi Maria, thanks for the names of the sites. You meant well. Although we can use judgement and figure slowly figure people out. Sometimes they are con artist who do a good job or an eloquent job at putting the wool over our eyes. No information is every a waste of time when meeting people. I have not had too many bad experiences online. Once I notice a guy is all about sex chats too soon. I say to myself forget this. Not that there is anything wrong with it. If it's your thing then :"different strokes for different folk" but that's not me. I have not lucked out too well on this site. If anything I have made friends in the chat room that I email once in a while but otherwise that is the extent of it and it's fun just chatting in the room sometimes.

Wrong.
Wrong information is worse than no information. Rating someone without oversight or accountability is pure evil, and you're a willing participant in this evil.
If your credit or medical info were rated without oversight or accountability, you'd be pissed. But it's OK to do that with other people? Without accountability?
The fact is, if the dude is a really bad dude, a quick phone call to the holding company saying something like "You have libelous information about me, and I demand you take it off of I'll be suing you for slander" would quickly get his name off of the site.
Doesn't take much creativity or intelligence to figure out a quick phone call will erase any bad info.
Nothing stinks as bad as hypocrisy, and it's coming from your direction. No intelligent self-respecting man would give the time of day to a woman so stupid that she needs to scour "gossip columns" to see whom she should date or not.
