The NYPD Police Museum has a new program where famous authors come to do readings and signings. The cost of the talks is $5, unless you are a patron of the museum and then it is free. Tonight, I'm going to see a joint talk by Mary and Carol Higgins Clark. Stuart Woods is coming up soon. They're having some real power house writers. Just go to the museum webpage to RSVP. The museum's located at 100 Water Street.
Tomorrow, Thursday Scandanavian House is hosting 4 Swedish mystery/crime writers: Kjell Eriksson, Inger Frimansson, HÃ¥kon Nesser and Helen Tursten. All have books coming out this spring in the US. For those of you who haven't delved into Swedish crime fiction, it's a real treat. Scandanavian House is on Park btw 37th and 38th.

Just returned from the Mary and Carol Higgins Clark event. As always they didn't disappoint. Very funny, but also very insightful about their writing styles, how they work and where they get their ideas. If anyone ever has the chance to see them together or separately, give yourself a treat and go.
The next event at the NYPD Museum (100 Old Slip) is Stuart Woods on May 3rd.

Since people appear to be reading, although not posting...The Swedish Noir lecture was fabulous. Keep your eye on Scandanavia House for future signings. All types of Nordic noir are popular at the moment.
The next signed at the Police Museum is May 3rd. The speaker is Stuart Woods. I'm looking forward to it.
