Posts: 212 I'm curious...does anyone compost in their backyard, kitchen or garage...or is it as I feared and I am really the only one doing it outside say...the volunteers at the Alley Pond Nature Center, Sweetbrier Nature Center and the Cornell Cooperative Extension and other Garden Centers or Community Gardens? Please...if you are, email me and tell me I'm not alone. LOL!

Posts: 131 UR NOT alone TM, I compost in my backyard and then use it in my rose garden.. and when I burn my din-din it goes into the compost pile too..
I also have a chipper/shredder for the trees and limbs that fall down and I spread that all around the base of my trees and in the flower beds in front of the house, I mix it with Peat Moss and it makes a great fertilzer that stays put and keeps the weeds down..

Posts: 212 That figures...I've got a chipper/shredder too. Just got it last year and it's WAY too much fun to use.

I also have another sign down by the road that states: ALL SALESMEN ARE WELCOME...... DOG FOOD IS GETTIN TOO EXPENSIVE..

Posts: 7,918 When I lived in VA and had my own house, I composted big time. Now, I feel a twinge of guilt everytime I throw out veggie scraps and coffee grounds.
