What a little gem! I went to Snug Harbor on Sunday to see the matinee performance of "My Fair Lady." The cast was excellent. There are two theaters at Snug Harbor, the old chapel where I saw the muscial, and the bigger music hall. I definitely will be back for more shows as well as the Chinese Scholars' Garden in the spring.

In Staten Island? I can never find a good enough reason to pay $9 to go over that bridge to go there when I find so much to do where I live...but since your recommending it I will have to check it out.

I detest going to Broadway anymore(the tourists, the horrible crowds, the PARKING!!!!) So I stick with performance theaters in Westchester. They do not compare to the quality of Broadway's productions, but sometimes the acting is just as good and like I said I can't take the crowds.
Recently I took the girls during a work/school night to see "A Christmas Carol" It was very good, worth the money and we were back home by 10:30 pm.

Does Snug Harbor have a website I can go to that you know of to look up the performances?

Seems like Staten Island has a few surprises and we always thought of it as where the garbage dump is located.

The Chinese scholar garden is supposed to be spectacular. Hope to see it in the spring.

ahhhhhhhhhhh, Spring...I'm thinking of Spring already. I hate that it gets dark at 4:30 and all I want to do is run home and get under the covers.
I think I'll check out that garden this Spring too
