New To Matchdoctor: Why do others avoid posting their picture?

Hi,
New to MD. My picture will go up on Monday, I guess, when the MD staff is back on duty. In the mean time I am curous--why do folks avoid posting their pictures? Are they cheating? Are they shy? Are they concerned they will get noticed at work? Will it ruin their work?

I think some people want to start chating and have someone like them for who they are and not how they look, then they will know that the person didnt just contact them because of their pic of course that wont be the reason for everyone but its one explanation

I know several people on here that just like to remain anonymous who just write blogs or post in the forums. Sometimes you do not want your neighbors, co-workers, etc. all reading everything you post on here. If you are on here for a date then I think its difficult without posting your picture to get the ball rolling.
I get a lot of slack at work sometimes when I have my screen up and someone sees my pictures, I have to hear all the........hey, wait a minute put that screen up again
