who is going to try to make it to the State Fair this year?.. or the Dixie Classic Fair in Winston Salem?
I am hoping that some of you that live on the western side will post some pics of the fall colors for those of us that can't make a trip to the mountains. I can't drive up there myself.. I have inner ear problems and get dizzy half way up the Parkway  Definately not good for the driver to get car sick..lol

Oh Daisy...I so love our mountains. I had not been in years until last year when I made my trip out to Illinois at the end of October. The colors weren't that great on my way out but when I returned it was beautiful! I wish I was in a position to be able to take a trip out there & stay for a long weekend....but I don't see it in the cards.
I AM going to the state fair this year...not sure yet which day, but I am looking forward to it. I did not get to make it last year. Year before last, I went with a male friend & we had a blast! Last year, he was down with his back & couldn't make it. Then I was concerned with my foot that I wouldn't be able to make it this year, but my foot is so much better we have made plans to go!

I haven't been to the State Fair since I was in high school.. I went to the Dixie Classic about 5 years ago with a guy from work.. all he wanted to do was walk around..he didn't even bother asking if I wanted anything to eat.. 
So, I need to find a date or a companion to go with me

Daisy...I am sure this is why this guy & I had so much fun together at the state fair!.....we are buds....neither of us the least bit concerned with impressing the other!
We took turns buying the eats & had a ball!

I would like to find a friend that would go with me.. I'm really not in a "dating mood" right now.. Maybe I will ask my nephew to take me..

I always love spending time with my nephew.. he's a great kid..I'll let ya know..

I went to the Dixie Classic fair 3 times this year. Helped work one of the food booths there; but still had plenty of time to enjoy myself. Besides, entry and parking was free that way

Used to go every year , don't think I went last year but did the year before. I love it but this year all the walking would kill me as I still work full time and some nights am on my feet all night, come home and die.......whole body hurts!! Gettin' old, I guess!! LOL bout time......wouldn't you say???
